We stayed one week and It was our first time in Es Cana ( but not in Ibiza) and since we have a 10month old daughter we chose to stay in the apartments as we needed a kitchen, microwave and kettle for her food. We had a 1 bedroom sea view (side view) on the third floor - the lift is a nightmare. There were 2 lifts, one broken so takes ages to get the lift at any time and it's tiny it barely fits a tiny stroller (babyzen yoyo). We had a side sea view - the balcony is good size, shame everyone is out smoking and the air is awful to breathe so can't sit there. Also everyone puts out their stuff to dry so there's always someone looking at you. The apartment was ok, the bedroom was so small though that the cot barely fit on the side of the bed blocking the passage to my husband who had to jump on the bed from my side. Two twin mattresses put together - its rubbish. My daughter kept falling in the gap when napping in our bed. Bathroom is mouldy despite being renovated, reason being there isn't much cleaning going on. The bath screen is fixed so it's a nightmare bathing a child in it (weren't they supposed to be family friendly???) Three people and only given towels for two - doesn't my daughter count as guest? In a week we had the apartment cleaned TWICE because we stressed reception to send housekeeping - awful service. Sheets were never changes and floors never swept as there was always sand. Reception staff barely speaks English (or pretends not to!) so any request is a pain, and they're so slow it takes forever....they make you wait while speaking to each other in Spanish which is rude. Food is below average - we stayed a week and ate the same things over and over. Nothing suitable for babies and mainly only unhealthy food for everyone (fried, cream, pasta, pizza). Twice in a week I've seen some fish, but then again with breadcrumbs or cream...so not really healthy. Breakfast and dinner are mayhem, so stressful by the amount of people! Eating in the terrace means you have to wait for a table in line - but the majority of people don't know and when you wait you have people strolling in and getting our table. And of course staff doesn't say anything. If you eat inside, it's way too cold due to air conditioning (and kids get sick!), if you eat outside you sweat. There's no win. The beach is close and its the only nice thing about these apartments. However, you need to pay 18 euros for a beach umbrella and 2 chairs every day. Prices are CRAZY - 2000 euros for a week in all inclusive to stay in an apartment and to eat rubbish and have fresh towels once. Go somewhere else - it's not even a clean place!!!
