Technically Le Life is good value, its one of the cheaper resorts, and you get what you pay for. The physical resort is nice, right on the beach, we had the family bungalow which overlooks a nice rock pool which you can swim in. There is an restaurant about 200m away, which is also the only place you will have WiFi and cell phone coverage, we got nothing in the cabins. Pros Isolated in a very natural environment with natural rock pools to swim in Good to disconnect and unwind as not much internet Restaurant had cocktails and beer and food, though at typical Australian prices. Closest attraction is TopRock for snorkelling, but you need a car to get there. While I think its a stretch to call the place a "Spa" they do have so Ni Vanuatu girls give pretty decent massages, just dont expect "spa" treatment. Cons Isolated, its at least 2 hours drive from port villa. if you dont want to get trapped there hire a car and drive there The power supply to the resort seems to be having problems, while we where there, we could hear a small generator running almost 24/7, so lights flicker fans change pitch or you just loose power all together. The kayak tour was closed due to fire ants in the area. (or so grandma told us) During the wet season Feb, they run a different menu in the restaurant, its not whats on the website. Its about 6 items, plus two pizzas, no salads, no snacks nothing light aside from a bowl of chips. Fine if your just there 3 days, but we where here 2 weeks. The staff are constantly rotated, which for us meant we could order the same meal 3 times and each time we got something different. We once ordered French Toast for breakfast and got sliced french bread that had been toasted with peanut butter. But by far the biggest issue for us, was food hygiene. We discovered that the kitchen would simply turn off their fridges and freezers overnight to save power. In the tropics, at peak summer. As a result we all got gastro, I personally had to go onto antibiotics when I returned to Australia. ive never had it this bad. There are other issues, but most we can look past. Our recommendation is if you do decide to stay here, hire a car, and limit your exposure (and bring gastro meds). Im sure if we had just stayed 5 days things may have been different.
