We stayed at Les Ormes for a week in September '23. We'd booked through Brittany Ferries and got a wonderful deal. It was our first time staying in a chalet and didn't quite know what to expect. However, we found the whole experience very pleasing. The chalet itself was large, modern, and well-equipped. We'd no issues there. Les Ormes has lots of things to do, especially for the kids, but is a good base if you want to see things beyond the site, including walks/cycles to local villages. As it was September, the site wasn't too busy and was very relaxing. We ate in the golf club twice and had drinks there on other evenings. On another occasion we'd an issue with the takeaway food from another outlet onsite, but when we brought it to the attention of staff, we received a wonderful and understanding response. We'd happily return!

Les Ormes was easily top three of the best campsites we ever stayed in. I went with my husband, daughter aged 12 and my son aged 9. The pools were a great highlight in our trip and my kids really enjoyed the slides. The pools were all Heated but the outside pools were a bit cooler. There is a spar there which we found handy as well. We stayed in a camper-van and we stayed in a premium pitch and it was a very big size. The facilities were also very clean and well kept for the premium pitch but not so much for the normal ones. We looked at some of the other accommodation and they also looked amazing. The staff were all very kind and friendly. There were so many activities that it was impossible to get bored and we really enjoyed the zip lines. Even if the weather is bad you could just head over to the dome. The pizza was the some of the best pizza I ever had. The campsite has something for every age and I highly recommend it. The only complaint I would have is that it could be a bit noisy at night.

We stayed here with Eurocamp for 10 nights. We were blessed with fabulous weather and were able to sit out everynight. Our accomodation was great and on our request was situated in a very quiet area. The site was quiet anyway at this time of year, the dome is amazing and we more or less had it to ourselves. There is everything you can think of available on site. Plenty of carp in the fishing pond as well. The market on a Saturday morning id well worth a visit but go early (7-30am) to get parked. There's loads to explore in the area as well so never bored. A good lot of eateries in Dol along with several decent supaermarkets. A 10 minute drive takes you to the coast and the drive to Cancale along the coastal road is worth it. If you have kids of any age you really would not have to leave the site as there is everything here for them, I imagine even more in peak season. My only minor gripe is that the bar prices are a bit OTT, maybe because I'm a northerner and not used to paying that sort of money for a pint.Regardless you will have a good time here.

Les Ormes is a fantastic campsite, one of the best we’ve stayed at in Europe and we’ve travelled to a lot. The site is very well ran and kept by an enormous team of people. It is exceptionally clean and all communal areas and toilet blocks well tended to. We have stayed here 5 times in total. The site itself is very big and there is lots of accommodation on offer from Chalets to tree huts to mobile homes plus camping and lots lots more. Really is something for everyone. We stayed in a camper-van on a premium pitch which gives you a large secluded flat area including water, drainage and electricity, plus a shed which has a bbq, fridge freezer and table and chairs for 6. The ease of having the table and chairs as well as the fridge make it a good choice for us. There is lots on offer and plenty to do. The indoor dome swimming pool is exceptional and huge, we visited at least once a day and it’s included in your accommodation cost. There is also a really good outdoor pool with sun loungers and slides. There is also plenty of activities which are all at a cost. We used the zip wire, Segway’s, horse riding, archery, pedalos, water skiing and crazy golf. All vary in cost from around €6 to €25 per person. We enjoyed them all and found the staff to be excellent, especially with the kids. Some of the activities are not worth the money and frankly should be free of charge. Crazy golf must be 25 years old and really poor, football golf should also be free, it’s a ball and a field but €6 per person. There is also a golf course with club house and restaurant which is higher end food offering and very good. The site has an excellent bar area although the drinks are extortionate for a campsite with a 500ml beer averaging €8 and glass of 120ml wine over €4. Soft drinks are crazy expensive and it’s one of the things that both ourselves and many other families we spoke with found to be profiteering. The beers on offer where also poor in quality, always flat. The on site restaurant/take away has limited opening times and although reasonably priced we had to send food back twice as it was cold. I believe they are building a new restaurant for completion spring 2025. It’s I badly needed as the current offerings for such a large site are limited. The staff in the bar area, particularly Aid and George where amazing and super attentive and friendly. There is also an on-site shop which is quite limited and very over priced also. They bake fresh pastries and bread every day which is handy and a good offering. There is a local town which has lots of supermarkets as well as a great selection of eateries and a few bars plus some local shops. One thing the site could do would be to offer a free shuttle service to the town so people could enjoy the local food offerings and support the local economy and area without having to drive There is plenty of kids entertainment on offer during the day and plenty of activities. The staff are great with the children. There

My criteria = action packed activity holiday cheaper than Center Parcs with safe evening options for kids to roam. Got it! Look no further than Les Ormes - definitely recommend booking directly as much cheaper. We stayed in a Sweet Home which for solo parent and one kid is fine - might be tight for 4? Facilities in cabin perfect for self catering holiday - although we took our own BBQ which I recommend. Activities galore at rock bottom prices meant my boy and I both got to do way more than we would have done at Center Parcs. We both loved the zip wires, horse riding, rope courses and wakeboarding. Swimming dome is also very cool - although I did close my eyes to various gross floaters around ( you will get this anywhere). Pizzeria on site gets rammed in the evening so recommend going early. Les Ormes is super close to several hyper markets including a Super U 5 mins away so no need to rely on pricey Spar on site.

At the end of a great weeks holiday at the resort, I lost my wedding ring and notified reception and asked whether if found it could be sent back to me (at my expense). I found out through a post that a ring had been found at the shop and was obviously delighted. I contacted reception and asked whether the ring could be returned to me, After many attempted contacts I was informed that the ring had been handed in to them but could no longer be located (either misplaced by staff or stolen I assume) I was told that procedure is to put found items in the safe but this did not happen. The resort have said they have investigated but have no idea where the ring is. On contacting my insurance company I was told that I couldn’t claim to replace the ring as it was not lost by me but by the resort itself. The resort have offered no solution I have asked whether they could claim on their insurance. A very disappointing end to a great week.

Staff great and facilities are fantastic. Clean place and on stunning grounds. Pet friendly and safe for young kids. Really enjoyed my time here. Shops really close for food and some lovely towns just 10 to 20 minutes away. Would come back again next year.

Lovely site in a central position but donot book with Canvas holidays. Rep's are very aggressive and unwelcoming. On arrival they demand a 150 euro deposit and they tried to charge us an extra £200 for our daughter even though we had booked a chalet for 4 people and paid £423 for the holiday. Rep's are nowhere to be seen unlike the other tour operators. Only 1 restaurant was open even though there are 3 on site. Lots of things broken in cabin and we had no hot water for 24hrs after reporting it within 2 hrs. Found the whole holiday quite stressful with the attitude of Canvas holiday Rep's.

I booked a night in the hotel part, definitely not enough parking places for the number of hotel rooms they have. I asked if i can park on the disabled/caddy kart parking "just the time to move the luggage in the room", the receptionist said "well, these places are for disabled" and then pointed me to some other parking places further and adding comments like "but these are not really opened to the public, more for cleaning teams, you will have more parking spots this evening". I parked there anyway with warning lights, 5 min later, i came down and moved the car. When i got back, 3 cars parked themselves on these spots (none of them disabled and no comments mentioned to them that disabled spots are for disabled people). In the evening, when i came back, only 2 free spots. The room was not clean, carpet with stains, used tissus just outside of my window. It did not make me want to do anything else in that Domain, we did not try any other facilities. We will not book again in this Domain.
