Lovely, quiet place with spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished rooms and a welcoming host. And superb value for money. A great place to lay your head before crossing the channel to UK or vice versa. Lots of Napoleonic paintings, tapestries and sculptures.

Last Autumn we really enjoyed our stay at Le Clos Boutenelle, so it was top of our list for a stay next time we were close to Calais. So earlier this week we managed to return for a one night stop over. The Manor House sits in a very quiet location and has been beautifully restored. It sits on the outskirts of the village, has a large garden with good parking outside the accommodation. Breakfast is continental style and served in one of two lovely dining areas. We will definitely be back again so thanks to Giles!

We booked our room to stay in 2019 and Gilles honoured the booking. We arrived on a sunny afternoon and Gilles greeted us and showed us our fantastic room. We sat in the garden which was beautiful. The house and gardens are stunning and Gilles is the perfect host. We will definitely stay again.

Very convenient location for ferry or tunnel return to the UK at less than 30 minutes drive. The house is just outside a small village and is charmingly restored and decorated in the classical French country manner, set in a lovely formal garden, with ample car parking. Three rooms are available, all on the first floor up a winding wooden staircase. Continental breakfast was waiting the next morning in a beautiful dining room. Gilles was a friendly host with very good English, but polite enough to answer to my schoolboy French. There are many bars and restaurants 12 km away in St Omer, with one or two closer. Word of warning, pay in advance or take cash, as no card machine available. I recommend this guest house warmly

Splendid structure, a well-kept period residence with all things in the right place including the creaks of the wooden floors. Very clean quiet really nice. The garden is very nice and well-kept, the parking is internal. The owner is a splendid person who is reserved but available and very good. Breakfast is excellent, don't miss the home-produced honey. Used as a post Eurotunnel stop and proved perfect in 30 minutes from Calais you arrive.
