Firstly the good bits. The staff were very good and friendly, ensuring a very friendly welcome. Alexandra in particular was fabulous. However it was not great after that. We have stayed in three different wineries over the last few years and this was definitely nowhere near as good. Firstly, the whole place looks tired and quite scruffy.I know the design is meant to be different, but we stayed in a similar very modern but simple winery in Argentina. It was on another level. Facilities were very lacking, The two outside loungers (only two) were so uncomfortable as to make them useless. No outside swimming pool either which I would have thought more than desirable. There was a very bad damp smell in our room with mould in the bathroom. We were told this was probably because it had rained that afternoon. Come on !. We are from Ireland and know what post rain dampness smells like, this was definitely mouldy and damp. Dinner was a bit of a joke. We opted for the sharing T Bone steak, but did not realise that we also had to share one bowl of soup and one dessert, very kindly they gave us two spoons!. The food was good but the experience was not anything I have ever encountered elsewhere. On the plus side the wine was good and the location was also good for touring. However based on our experience we could not recommend to others.

Nice view of the vineyards, very friendly and helpful staff, good room service, spacious room and fun design. The positives of this hotel stop here. Maintenance, cleanliness and functionality seem not to be at home at Finca de los Arandinos and that's a pity! The potential would be there, or rather, it was all there! The feeling one gets when entering one of the 'special rooms' is that this hotel has clung on to the day it opened and that little or nothing has been done to maintain it in a certain way, up to the expectations of those who look at the pictures promoting it on their website. Yellowed tiles at the entrance and in the toilet, torn and stained wallpaper in the bathroom, electrical sockets where it is difficult to keep the phone charger in place properly (risk of getting electrocuted), mattresses have been smashed and separated from each other (the sensation is of sleeping on a bunk rather than in a 4-star bed), bed sheets are only laid on the bed and not tucked in, dust in the cupboards and the bottom of the shower encrusted and blackened by mould and you can smell it. In the toilet there is no fan. As far as functionality is concerned, I can understand that the rooms have been designed with a particular concept by David Delfín (see the retractable sink and shower), but, for example, I don't believe that the bed lamps only light up simultaneously for design reasons: if one wants to read, the other will have to sleep with his own light bulb on. Wi-Fi receptivity is very poor and most of the time the mobile phone network works better for surfing the Internet. Frigobar is empty except for a couple of bottles of water and two commercial snacks. Not much for a 4-star hotel. Leaving aside the state of preservation of the terrace floor with wooden planks that bend and risk breaking, I would move on to breakfast: I have seen much richer and more qualitative buffets in hotels with less pretension. The bread looks like the kind you get in supermarkets and the ham looks like the kind packaged for mass distribution. Overall pleasant stay but if it had had three stars I would have expected less and would have appreciated more the design, which still forces you to take a shower practically in the entrance of the room.

I spent a few nights at this hotel on a recent trip to Spain and even though the hotel is generally nice, the room could use some maintenance and better sound proofing. I'm not sure when the hotel was built but it felt like the design didn't age well. First the room i was in had a balcony with absolutely no separation to the other adjacent balconies which really provided no privacy. Although the room looked nice, it lacked in general comfort. The restaurant downstair offered decent options and good value for dinner but the lack of a la carte made it cumbersome for dinner. The worse part however was that the hotel concrete design made it so that the restaurant noise echoed and resonated throughout the room area with no real separation and on both nights i was there large groups made it so noisy that it was uncomfortably loud in my room. This isn't for me and i won't be going back.

Great place for a relaxing weekend with your couple. The integration of the hotel and wine cellar is perfect. The landscape and sunset are something to enjoy. The we staff always try to make your stay a perfect experience and the spa is small but perfect for a couple to be alone.

Weekend of disconnection, where we were able to meet, good gastronomy, very good wine (we loved the spell) and a wonderful environment, all around the Finca de Los Arandinos. The hotel is surrounded by the winery's own vineyards, which gives you an absolute immersion in the wine, and it is also located on a small hill where you can have very pleasant views. The room we had was super spacious, it was over the cellar, very comfortable and with a very modern design. The restaurant has a small menu but with good ingredients, the truth is that we had a wonderful dinner. And if you go, be sure to take the guided tour with tasting of the winery, it is fantastically led by a member of the family that owns the winery, he explains the entire history of the winery, after taking a short walk through the vineyards, and then finish with the tasting in the barrel area, enjoying its magnificent wines; For me, one of the best visits to wineries I have made. So if you like the world of wine, it is a spectacular option if you go to La Rioja.

We were captivated by its architecture and spa. First of all they give us the menu and when we ask about the two menus on the website they say that they are no longer available, so it seemed to us a big failure in updating and information. The dining room has a central part where very good natural light enters, but in the end it was very dark and unwelcoming. The starters were very delicious but both the fish and the meat were very average. Lacking in flavor and quantity. However, the desserts are really delicious. Regular service, friendly waitresses but serving as in a daily menu restaurant, at speed, without hospitality details

The main problem we had was that the hotel had been painted and varnished floors the week before. The smell of varnish was very strong and forced us to keep the room open during the day and part of the night. The temperature outside in January is low and it was quite unpleasant. The hotel was full and they could not offer us any other solution than to cancel the reservation and look for a nearby hotel with availability. I understand that the works are difficult to control, but perhaps the opening was hasty given the poor ventilation of the spaces. The design of the room by David Delfín is risky, certainly not for everyone's tastes. It is original but I think that the bathroom part is not well resolved and is not functional. They are spacious rooms, therefore, at least the shower should have a fixed space from our point of view. The Tierra restaurant, in line with the hotel, seemed too simple in its decoration, but we loved the food. The dishes are very well prepared and in reasonable quantities. The treatment from the staff was very good, in the case of the waiter (I didn't ask his name) he was excellent, a charming person. At breakfast I would include more variety. But I want to insist again on the preparation of the dishes, we found it original and exquisite. Finally, on the day of departure we visited the winery. Roberto was very friendly and gave us a visit closer to the strain than the bottle. We had never visited a winery so interesting from the point of view of the treatment of the vine, the grapes, etc... of course he explained the treatment of the winery to us and we did the tasting, but what we liked the most was the explanations on foot field. As I said, the beginning was not good, but little by little it gained momentum, the first day I would have given it a 2, however, as it progressed I left it at a 4.

Excellent choice. Unbeatable treatment, a wonderful spa, cleanliness and highly recommended gastronomy. Ideal for a getaway for a couple of days. One of the best things we have found in the area and we will surely repeat it again.
