Best Hotels near Gastel, Enghien-les-Bains

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The breakfast is not very big but it is in line with the price, you have variety, fruit, eggs, cheese, jam, bread, bakery, ... As regards the location is very close to the walking stop, though it is true that it is a little away from the center. You must bear in mind buying tickets with access to line j. The normal doesn't come up there.

Very good stay in this hotel. The room was very clean, the bathroom very spacious and the service impeccable.

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. During this visit, it was a public transport strike, and only Line 1 and Line 14 were late. Fortunately, the hotel is located in front of the line 1 station, so it is easy to get there. (Gaesunmun station has 4 stations). The beds and quilts in the hotel are comfortable and nice. There are curtains or other glassware facilities to prevent water from splashing out in the shower, which looks good. The breakfast is very good, because there are few people there, so we can eat slowly. Please note that taxes need to be paid at checkout, so please be prepared.

This is my second stay, and I am not disappointed by the location of nothing to say near La Défense, the nearby tram that ends late. It was just disappointed that there was no more standard room without the bed sofa. A pleasant staff.

I checked into this hotel on March 17th. On March 18th I left the hotel at 11:50 noon. I was the only one in the quadruple room when I left. Other tenants have checked out. I am also confirming that my 20-inch suitcase is locked. And double locked in the 30-inch luggage. And the laptop is locked in the iron cabinet provided by the hotel, and the lock is double-checked. before leaving the room. PM 18:40 I return to the hotel. After charging in the lobby on the first floor, return to the second floor at 19:40 PM. When I opened the door with a magnetic card, I found that the 20-inch suitcase was taken out of the 30-inch suitcase. Both pieces of luggage had been vandalized open and things were missing. The lock on the iron cabinet was also damaged, and the laptop inside was not taken away. I immediately went downstairs to inform the hotel counter and asked her to come upstairs with me. Later, the hotel staff invited me to the police station. I hurried to the police station, and the police station asked me to call 17 when I went back to the hotel. They will follow the procedure. After returning to the hotel, I called at 22:50 PM to 17. At 23:09 PM, the police went to the hotel to understand the scene. One of the policemen who arrived that night told us that room 305 of this hotel had also been burglarized last week. My Uber was driving around in ever decreasing circles as we couldn't find this hotel. But then La Defense is pretty impenetrable by car so I shouldn't have been surprised. Finally made it to reception to be greeted by a lot of smiling faces and the news that my room had been upgraded. The room itself (I had no idea what it had been upgraded from) was great - big double bed, plenty of space, soft towels. I tried the TV but there were only the usual channels. It would be nice (and perhaps expected in an hotel like this) to have a smart TV so I could login to my accounts but no. I had a fantastic caesar salad for dinner via room service, although the ordering method was slightly convoluted (via an app which you needed to scroll through to find the right bit - sounds straightforward but it wasn't completely). The bed was really comfortable and no noise from outside. In the morning the shower was powerful and hot and easy to use (not always the case first go). So friendly staff, nice room, good food, and tip-top shower - that's really all you want or need from a hotel.

I literally was here for 9 hrs of sleep. I came in around midnight & left at 0930. I just needed somewhere to lay my head down as I was meeting a girlfriend for lunch the next day. It is very modern looking, check in was easy. Lock codes on the door for the storage below beds which is a plus. Sheets provided brought my own towel and bathmat. Bathroom seperated from bed area w pocket door. Shower and toilet in seperate rooms. 20 mins from centre but but right across the street. Overall plus plus for price.

This was our third stay at this hotel over a period of several years and I posted a very positive review in 2014. Oh, how things have changed here! I begin with the most serious of the offenses and indignities we suffered during our 5-night stay. I was entrapped in the hotel's elevator for a period of 10-15 minutes before the staff registered any response to the emergency alarm bell or my pounding on the elevator door. When a maintenance employee finally arrived, he said that the alarm bell notified the off-premises elevator service company rather than the hotel itself. I knew this was not accurate as I could clearly hear the alarm when I repeatedly pressed it. When I was finally liberated from the elevator and spoke with the on-duty manager, he apologized and said he had been in the ”back office” and had not heard the alarm. The general manager of the hotel also stated that she regretted the ”inconvenience.” I think this event qualified substantially above the level of ”inconvenience” and the manager's proffer of a fractional portion of the substantial Marriott points I had used for my stay was wholly inadequate for the life-threatening emergency that could well have been the case. In addition to this incident, we experienced an appalling indifference and lack of basic service from the staff of the hotel, including (1) absence of a bellman to assist with our bags upon arrival at the hotel by taxi ,(2) failure to deliver an additional luggage rack to the room following request of the bellman, (3) failure of housekeeping staff to make up the room for a period of two hours and after three requests when we inadvertently left the French-language ”do not disturb” sign on our door, (4) failure to respond to three or more requests for towels that had not been left by the housekeeper, and (5) recommendation by the newest and least-experienced junior concierge of an Asian restaurant that displayed a ”closed” sign when we arrived and where no employees spoke English or could provide an English-language menu. (In fact, with regard to the restaurant, the chief concierge told us the next day that she had ”never heard of it.”) We chose this hotel because we had previously had positive experiences, notwithstanding the fact that the rooms are extremely small (even with our upgrade from a ”cubby hole” to a ”shoebox-sized” room). The hotel's common area is beautifully decorated and the rooms are well-appointed despite their size. The problem with this hotel boils down to indifferent management and that is really a shame. It could be so much more!

Me and my brother stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to attend a concert at La Defense Arena, so chose this hotel for it's location. The reception is on the 1st floor and the check in was fine, the only thing we weren't told was the breakfast times, but that was in a leaflet in the room, that comes with some other useful information. Unfortunately when we walked into the room there was a horrible smell and after airing the place out for a bit, it was gone but soon came back when you close the window and left the room for a little while. There was nothing that seemed to be causing the smell, so we just kept the window open for fresh air when in the room. This smell was no where else in the hotel, like hallways or reception. When I booked the hotel, I should have looked more into the bathroom situation as I had no idea what a partially open bathroom would be, I couldn't find any photos on their website, so I am uploading a few of my own, not a great shower when sharing a room with your sibling! You can see completely into the shower, the wooden thing in front is basically useless and would be better just being a large plank of wood for some privacy. The toilet was tiny and very hard to move around in for a big person, although I am sure some smaller people would also struggle. The mattress on the bed was comfortable, but the pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable and the bedding seemed to shed off onto our darker clothing, which was a pain. There was no mini fridge in the room, due to the hotel being eco friendly and the safe in the room is very narrow, so doesn't fit a lot or large items. The breakfast the next morning was disappointing, there was only 2 hot food options, scrambled eggs and eggs you could boil, on the second morning there was bacon but not scrambled eggs, there was a sign but nothing in the pot so I'm not sure if this was just the staff being slow at replenishing the food. There was a decent selection of cold meats and small pastries, but more hot food options would have been nice, but this may be a cultural thing? Unfortunately, not overall a great experience, especially for an apparent 4 star hotel.
