A comfortable self-service hotel, just off the train station.
The self-service kitchen is great. Only one or two people use it during the off-season. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can make hot pot, barbecue, and cakes.
It is recommended not to book the smallest room, as the bed is narrow or the sloping roof is a bit depressing. Book a larger room with a wide lower bed, which is comfortable for two people to sleep in.

People are rude and judgmental, not a welcome atmosphere, do not recommend US travelers to go here. They invite locals here to laugh and make fun of tour groups and take our money. scammy and rude, do not spend your money going here

Loved the bedrooms to the breakfast to the drinks. The best part was the people and that bartenders. You don’t even need to leave the place for a good meal and a good night. They truly make sure that you have a good. Totally recommend to anyone passing by or for a long trip

Wow, what a location and hostel!! Our room was absolutely gorgeous with a stunning balcony view of the mountains. The bunk beds were cute and it was pretty spacious. Great location in the town of Engelberg, walkable to town and restaurants as well as the lift up to Mt. Titlis. The fondu on the first night was the perfect welcome to Switzerland. Left wanting to stay another night and hopefully get to come back someday!

Excellent overall experience! Mladen and his team are amazing, so professional, kind and available! Rooms are super clean, spacious, warm with very comfortable beds. High quality materials have been used to renew this building. The common areas and the bar are awesome as well and the bar tenders great! We had sooo much fun! Highly recommend! Great value for money

I had a wonderful time at the Grand last year and feel guilty that I am only writing this review just before my coming stay. It is exceeded my expectations by far. Great value for money. I felt I am home. Very friendly staff & atmosphere. The Grand is not a hostel and it is not a hotel, it is Home.
