My stay at The Setai Sea of Galilee was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided warm and attentive service, ensuring a seamless check-in experience. The resort’s breathtaking location on the shores of the Sea of Galilee offers stunning views and a truly tranquil atmosphere. The private villas with pools are beautifully designed, combining modern luxury with natural elements that create a peaceful retreat. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with every amenity needed for a comfortable and indulgent stay. The highlight of our visit was the incredible spa and wellness facilities. The heated pool, jacuzzi/hammam, and sauna provided the perfect way to unwind, and the professional massage treatments were top-notch. The breakfast was outstanding, featuring a rich selection of fresh, high-quality dishes that catered to every taste. Overall, The Setai Sea of Galilee exceeded all expectations. It’s the perfect destination for those seeking relaxation, luxury, and breathtaking scenery. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to return!

I stayed in this hotel twice in the last couple of years and both times had a wonderful experience, The rooms were spacious, clean and the staff was warm and accommodating from check in to check out. The breakfast was fantastic and the view from the rooms is unbeatable.

Great hotel right on Sea of Galilee. Beautiful grounds, incredible food, 24 hour gym. Coffee could be better only major wish is they’d pick up the trash by the sea. It’s not a lot but strange they don’t. Service was decent, rooms had private pool but were very strangely shallow. All in all recommended

We were so excited to come spend a night here with the kids ,but we’re disappointed right away, checking in is supposed to feel welcoming , it felt like they were doing us a favor by giving us a room wich I thought was disgusting… there was mold all around the tub, I felt like I was in a upperclass homeless shelter…. They forgot to fill up the mini fridge , we called up room service , they sent 2 complimentary HOT coke cans …. My husband had to go walk around to find a cold drink… this is not what we expected at all , whoever is doing their social media should be sued for lying

The location and property is beautiful! But wow ! I am still in shock to have paid 500$ a night for this! We went with my family to celebrate my birthday but I was so disappointed that I wanted to leave earlier But they refused to give us a refund. The service is non existent - the managers are sitting all together drinking coffee all day. When you ask to speak with one they just say he is not yet in the hotel but you see him having breakfast with his friends. The rooms are so old, everything is broken, the pillows and mattress are not comfortable. The pool is dirty and rusty. There is electricity hazard, some cables were just sticking out. The garden is not well maintain. There is trash all over, broker glasses…. And the list is sooooo long. Please avoid this hotel ! It is a waste of money ! The only positive point is the food- we had Friday shabbat buffet, and it was really really tasty. However, the service was bad, they were not clearing our dishes while finishing…

Nice hotel. Gorgeous setting. Needs freshening up and lots of landscaping. A rough jewel in the area. The Setai company should really invest in this property. It has potential to be a stunning resort. The staff was great and the physical plant, with some small upgrades and modernization would be great. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are nice.

I'm still trying to process this experience. The plus points - beautiful location. Some of the staff were really trying to make amends for all the 1-star reviews and rebuild customer relations. The head of PR Sandy was particularly lovely. The 1-star is entirely for Sandy, and the other staff who were really trying their best (Basel also) and for the beautiful location. Still: I can't believe the 5 star reviews on this site are genuine. Apart from Sandy and Basel and a couple of others, the staff are untrained, also rude and even at times frighteningly aggressive. They treat guests paying $500 a night like criminals. The minibar in the room is empty. When I asked why I was told it was because 'all the guests steal from it, so it must be empty'. The sheets on my bed were blood-stained when I arrived. It looked as if they hadn't been changed from the previous guests - beyond gross. I asked for them to be changed. 'yes yes, we'll come.' No apology. No one came, though I asked a few more times - politely. In the end, I was accused of lying. 'The sheets are clean.' I slept in blood-stained sheets for my stay, covering them with towels. The dirty towels were never changed and the room was barely cleaned. - It was very dirty in general. The shower was blocked. Furniture was old and chipped, falling apart. I asked for clean towels. No one brought any. You have to pre-pay for everything, eg spa treatments, the buffet dinner. Half the time, you arrive to these treatments or the buffet having pre-paid, and the staff don't have a record of your payment. They automatically accuse you of lying and trying to steal. No apologies when it becomes clear they have made an error. When I checked out there were extra charges on my bill. I pointed these out and - surprise - I was accused of lying. Two members of staff lost their temper with me, yelled at me and treated me like a criminal. Eventually they corrected the bill, as was finally clear to them they'd made an error. No apologies. Why do the staff behave like this? Who is encouraging or permitting this to happen? Is it really very likely that guests paying $500 a night are criminals and liars? What or who has given them this idea? Either way - this is a dirty, frightening, dystopian place. It is not a 5 star hotel. Sandy, Basel - I hope you can find a better job in a better company soon. You deserve much, much better than this terrifying, dystopian place. Also the head of the spa was lovely too. I hope you can all find somewhere else to work, somewhere that deserves your talents and dedication. I hope the Setai gets new management or is shut down.
