Absolutely stunning lodge with spectacular views. Rooms are well appointed- excellent bathroom layout. Fireplace and private patio with a view of the mountains and the trout pond. Staff is outstanding. Laid back luxury. Ordered Breakfast both mornings- steel oats and avocado toast were delicious. Only a 45-60 minute drive to the north gate of Yellowstone. Thanksgiving dinner at the Grill was so so- they ran out of stufffing at 6:45 and for the price we paid- there should have been mountains of stuffing. HVAC in room was a little tricky, but we slept great. Staff even hooked up a firestick in our room so we could watch an out of area football game. Will definitely return.

A really great lodge and place to stay. Tons of activities: horseback riding, fishing, fishing lessons, ax throwing, hiking, etc...Rooms are nice but not that large; perfectly suitable with awesome views of the mountains and local pond with mule deer abound. There is a restaurant and bar on site. The bar offers up creative cocktails and is a nice place to enjoy a meal. It sits in the indoor portion of the restaurant. There is also an outdoor section which we frequented because the weather was excellent. The food is good in the restaurant, but the service is just so-so. Like many other places since the pandemic, they've clearly struggled with hiring and training employees. That's one of my nits about the service: just provide some elementary training on how to pour wines, respond to requests etc.

Stayed 5 nights and had amazing experience! Our trip was a success with the excellent help of their concierge, Blake Fleming helping us book four experiences to Yellowstone. Our guide Carly was amazing. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Sage is expensive for being a Four Star property. And the dining options are limited and also pricey. Althoug told by staff new menus are on the way.

I stayed 2 nights as part of a bike tour. My room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The public spaces were also beautiful in an amazing part of the country. There were many places to sit outside and enjoy it. The staff were very pleasant. The food was amazing, from the avocado toast for breakfast to the steak frites for dinner with chocolate torte dessert.

From the moment we arrived at Sage Lodge, we were blown away. My husband and I stayed at Sage Lodge for 5 days and just returned home back in NY. We have not stopped raving about the 5-star service, incredible staff, amazing activities and STUNNING views. We thoroughly enjoyed the activities - axe throwing and a private casting lesson with Jaden, wood burning with Scott, leather crafting with Carley and an amazing private tour of Yellowstone with Bjorn! Cam makes the best espresso martinis, Steven was such a great server, Chelly and Luke made our experience at the Grill so special! Upon arrival, JT was so welcoming and warm. When I went to get my luggage from the car, I was quickly greeted by Oden to take my luggage (even without asking) - so nice! We had brunch almost every morning at the Grill and ended our trip with an amazing meal at the Grill (5 stars!!). We also booked a Private Luxury Float through Sage Lodge and had the entire Yellowstone River to ourselves. So amazing! Each night we enjoyed making s’mores at the firepit. In terms of the rooms, they were so clean and spacious. The sheets were so soft and felt luxurious. The fireplace and patio ensured instant relaxation. We cannot thank the amazing staff at Sage Lodge enough and we cannot wait to be back!

Absolutely wonderful time here with very comfortable room and a friendly, helpful staff. Jon, the manager, came out to greet us upon our arrival and helped us with our luggage. He was there to say goodbye as well. Unfortunately our stay was too short to take advantage of the star gazing they hosted that night which is one of many activities they offer on site. Some engaging kids were telling us about making leather. They have a pond in the back where they teach fly fishing. BTW, ask for a room facing the pond...the views of the mountains in back are fabulous. We had a tasty dinner at The Fireside Grill which is on site as well. The next morning we relaxed in their hot tub outside by the pond taking in the incredible views of the mountains and valley. This is when I fell in love with Montana. Highly recommend you stay here at least 2 days if not more.
