We had a lovely visit to Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel as part of our Mother’s Day weekend in Northumberland with my Mam. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and very supportive of my Mam who had mobility issues, we’ll definitely be visiting again.

Day out to Beadnell found this gem of a place on our way back in a place called Embleton, my husband, me and our dog Flynn. The owners daughter not sure if it's Ellie is an asset to the place, lovely girl, staff very welcoming, lovely food, hubby said great beer, and my latte was lovely, wish they had done 1 night stays we didn't want to leave. Highly recommended

A pleasant hotel. The menu was basic pub fayre. The portions were large and the food reasonable. The service was speedy and the staff friendly. Our desserts were not as we expected. The lemon meringue wasnt really meringue more like marshmallows on top of lemon

I stayed at this hotel 8 years ago. It has since changed ownership and the improvements are obvious. Starting with a welcome at reception and then throughout the hotel, the staff were all friendly and efficient. There was a good selection of beers in the bar and the food was all delicious. I felt very comfortable here. I have to say that my bedroom could do with refreshing and seemed quite expensive for what was provided but it was comfortable enough. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the Northumberland coast. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

As the Bank Holiday was nearly on us and we both had some time off we decided to book a long weekend at the hotel and we are so glad that we did. Our room was really nice, just right for us, we found the room to be very clean and fresh and the bed was luxury, we had two great nights sleep. We ate both nights in the hotel, the first night was my favorite, steak with peppercorn sauce, I have been having steak on every visit we have made to the hotel, the steak is consistently very good. A great overall menu including the puddings and a very good and varied wine menu. One thing we have noticed in all our visits is its the same staff in the bar and in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meals, every one of them polite, pleasant and efficient in what they did, This time we noted the change in beers, I was happy to see that Hawkstone was now on tap along with other good beers including Timothy Taylors. All in all another excellent stay for us, everything as expected and more, great rooms, great food and great people running the hotel. We have already booked another long weekend and are looking at booking two more weekends during 2025 at the hotel. Andy

We called just for a drink on our way home. Sunny and warm enough at end of March (Mother’s Day) to sit outside at 7pm , a bonus. The outside areas are clean with well maintained furniture and beautifully planted. Very good service and a very generous gesture to give all mums a complimentary glass of fizz whether dining or simply having a drink as were we. Delightful- a consistently pleasant experience, well done to all who work there to achieve this.
