We have visited a couple of times now, most recently we came for a Sunday lunch and it was lovely! Staff were really lovely and helpful with recommending choices when I couldn’t make up my mind! Both occasions were just as good, would definitely return and recommend!

The setting is lovely. The building is all history and rustic charm. The staff were lovely and warm. The food was fab. Only very slight downside (and it’s really splitting hairs in all honesty) was that some of the environment needs a little bit of a refresh - peeling paint here and there, threadbare carpet on the stairs and a good few weeds in the courtyard. All very minor things but it really is these little touches that raise an establishment from okay/good to wow. It really wouldn’t take much to get the Bull to ‘wow’. To qualify this slightly, I know it’s a huge undertaking to keep these beautiful old buildings in a state of equanimity as it’s a real Forth Bridge scenario. But that’s it. Everything else was very good indeed.. An exceptional mention: the young girl who ran the whole front of house breakfast service on the Saturday (21st September) was so kind and attentive. My wife spoke with her about an emotional challenge she was having that day (beloved pet involved!) and she was just so kind and understanding and just went that extra mile. She was definitely helped by the fact that the breakfast itself was absolutely top notch. Genuinely can’t wait for our next visit!

We had a great time with fabulous food. The staff were all really friendly. Our three dogs were made very welcome. We dined in the courtyard which was fabulous! I would highly recommend visiting this five hundred year old coaching inn with a 21st century twist!

Went for family lunch. Only a couple of waiting staff around so was a but worried at first, but service was excellent, food was fresh, hot and tasted amazing...all eight of us loved all of our dishes. Nice dining area. We had to travel a fair way to get there but we will return.

Delicious food and friendly service. Very enjoyable. A bit disappointed that I cannot leave a quick review, I am forced to write a minimum of 200 characters. I’m sorry, but as you don’t employ me and don’t pay me for reviews. It’s a bit rich to insist I do

We were a multi-generational party of 23 who came together for lunch last Saturday on a lovely sunny day at this beautiful pub. From booking to completing the meal everything was excellent. Booking process was smooth and the service was really very good. I coordinated the whole process with one member of staff (sorry I can't remember her name) who was brilliant, in fact I commend all the staff. Although we were a party of 23 the food came out at the same time and was of a very good standard and tasty! The lead member of staff checked on us several times to make sure everything went smoothly. I would thoroughly recommend the Bull Inn thank you!

Booked The Bull for my mother's birthday meal, the whole experience was a disaster from the moment we arrived. The bar staff were very rude and the restaurant staff were clearly overwhelmed and over worked. They clearly didn't have our booking details either, dumping us on a dirty table and didn't come back, staff didn't have time for us when we tried to get attention and alot of other customers were unhappy. Needless to say we didn't stay !!! Wouldnt recommend at all !!!

Hotel was easy to find, booking in was easy and simple, the main stars do need a bit of care one or two steps a bit tricky and probably needs to be a little brighter. Enjoyed the food a good selection, bar closes a bit early but no problem Hotel room & bathroom clean

I met up with friends at the bull inn as quite central to where we all live. We had a choice of sitting in the bar area or the restaurant. We chose the restaurant as we wanted a quiet place to talk. The deco of the restaurant is absolutely amazing and very clean. The food was very nice and good value. The service was very good and very friendly. The staff work very hard and didn't push us to go. The manager was very friendly and made us feel so welcomed. Definitely will be going back to this little gem.
