Elounda Sunrise Apartments

Tranquility and elegance is brought yo you by the surrounding Bay of Rlounda wrapping these beautifully located "Sunrise apartments" within a magnificent priced range. Yiannis, Demos, Peter and the rest of the staff are superb in everyway. Clean, tidy and an easy walking distance to the village... Our first time here and not the last ... We've created beautiful memories, met wonderful people whom we'd love to see again snd meet more ... 10/10

Booked direct with the apartments and got the safe and a/c for no additional charge. Had apt no 34 which had a partial seaview from the small balcony, there was a building in front of us, but the room is not overlooked by others. Room was large, very high ceiling, with small kitchenette however the extractor fan didn't actually go to the outside as kitchen units were probably 2m up and room was at least 3m high! Beds very comfy - for some reason twin beds rather than a king/double. Bins in room were emptied daily,bed linen and towels changed every 3rd day. We were there at the end of the season and were told by another guest that the sunbeds were being dismantled on the 17th Oct(we were leaving on 18th) which I found strange. True enough the whole of the "garden" area with kids play area was taken up (astro grass, sunbeds, parasols) all gone! Sunbeds were still available round the pool but the bar/cafe area also completely shut....still other guests staying til 25th Soula on the var was a lovely lady Giannis was also very helpful when we mentioned about our shower not working properly Would I stay again? Possibly!

Great room with a view. Excellent staff Giannis and Dimos were excellent as were there families. Soula you did us proud and kept us laughing ( Lady GaGa ) Giannis you mixed the best ouzo and lemon enjoyed all our drinks from you and there were a lot 😂 Dimos our trip to Spinalonga was brilliant thanks for getting the boat there. Pete really enjoyed our Saturday night quiz ( reigning champions for 1 week loved the banter you are a star) kept Dave fishing enjoy the beer. Rooms kept so clean and towels and bedding changed every couple of days. This holiday has to rate as one of our best. Till we return love you all. The owners are very keen to help but specific requests lodged with 3rd party tour operators (e.g "On the Beach") are never passed on. Also you may well get a better deal. It was our second time here and we enjoyed ourselves and the facilities and area again (Good value, fabulous location) but they couldn't accommodate my request for a ground floor room this time as it was never passed on. Lesson learned.

Another fabulous holiday at Sunrise. Made very welcome by Dimos and Ioannis. First class cleaning staff; nothing too much trouble. Funnily enough, the pillows were the fluffiest we've ever felt! Roll on next year ...

Sad, disappointing and dull apartments with impersonal, indifferent staff. Conveniently located on the edge of town. Expensive air conditioning and had to pay for a key to use the safety deposit box..

We stayed in Sunrise for 10 nights it's a lovely place with everything you need in your room, our room had a mezzanine with a double bed up there and 2 singles downstairs. Everything was clean. The staff are really helpful Soulia who works 7 days a week is just lovely she seves all the food and is very attentive. The location is great with the views of the ocean and mountains. One thing I will say is we booked a transfer and we were last off from Heraklion so it took 3.5 hours after the 4 hour flight so I wished we would have just paid for our own taxi that would take maybe 90 mins £75 . Coming home was similar our flight was 3pm we were picked up at 9 so missed breakfast and were at the airport for 12 an hour before we could check in. We spent £55 on 3 breakfasts, so if we had got a taxi we could have left at 11.30 and had our breakfast before we left, so it wouldn't have been much more. Lesson learnt for next time xxx

Elounda is beautiful and the Elounda Sunrise Apartments are in a great spot with easy access to lots of lovely restaurants and bars. We had a sea view room which was AMAZING probably one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in in Greece, it was modern with great amenities. I love running and felt safe running every morning around Elounda. The food was great (I am vegetarian). The team working at Elounda Sunrise were all really friendly and helpful, we wouldn't hesitate to return we had a great time.

The property is perfectly located right off the water, 5 minute walk to town or a just a few minutes to some of the most beautiful beaches you could ever imagine. Property is clean and has a fun bar right outside by the pool where we enjoyed many high quality and reasonably priced drinks. Please do not book this property on *******. They are reselling another companies discounted rate which did not include ac or use of the safe. This was no fault of the property but caused a very frustrating strain between me and the property owners. I truly recommend the place but book direct or via *********** where you won't have issues related to invalid details on the website.
