After 5 years here, we will never be back. We always loved this small charming hotel for its peacefulness, cleanliness and simple charm. Plus the wonderful staff. I don't know what's happened but it's gone to the dogs this year. All the regular staff have left. The room cleaning is a joke. Dirty cups left, shambolic bed making, bathrooms not cleaned. We asked for ice a couple of times in the bar...the woman turned to her friend lolling at a table, rolled her eyes and said "this sucks" in greek...I speak Greek! Last year the waiter would come to your sunbed with a menu and bring drinks. This year you had to go get them yourself...you'd get the glasses from the bar and they can't even be bothered to get the beers from the fridge for you. We've never experienced so much lethargy and rude eye rolling at a hotel ever. My other half walked back from the supermarket with a bottle of coke to put in the fridge and asked for ice on the way up. He was told in no uncertain terms that drinking this illicit coke with their ice was "PROHIBITED!" Bathrooms are not fit for purpose ...dirty, tiny, broken showers. Our grey bathmat was not changed once in 10 days. It's so sad because last year we had the most joyous time here with bubbly can-do staff...this year I felt like a naughty kid on a school camping trip caught with cigarettes! To add insult to injury my friend who came to wish us goodbye was rudely asked "what are you doing here?" The place was very empty and everyone there complained about the cold inedible breakfasts and bad service.

The hotel is well positioned a short walk to the sea, and about a 15 minute walk to the town centre. The biggest asset of the hotel is the staff, the girls on reception particularly in the evening were delightful, very chatty with a wealth of knowledge of the area and places to visit. The rooms were basic but all you needed for a holiday when you are planning on being out and about most of the time. It would have been nice to have a bit more cleaning of our rooms. The sheets were pulled up and the bins emptied daily , our daughter didn’t get her towels changed during the week which would have been nice. The pool was nice although a bit grubby. The breakfast was basic with very little food on offer, empty serving plates were on the buffet area others had one or two pieces of fruit. One of the mornings there was no butter or spread and when we enquired we were told it had run out. We tended to just go out for breakfast. The hotel is fine for a basic holiday.

Avoid this rundown, filthy hotel. We spoke with others who stayed here last year, they too could not believe how it had changed since taken over in the last year. We raised our concerns when another lady was trying to explain that she was unhappy. The receptionist was very abrupt and continued to say each room is the same...which is not true. We paid £300 to upgrade our room....the sea view was the only pleasant thing about this hotel...we had to ask for our bedding to be changed...10 days and changed once. Floor mopped once, sink, toilet etc never touched. We even tool it upon ourselves to clean the room. The bar was closed early evening...the pool area was filthy.

The rooms were very basic . Breakfasts were hospital standard and the pool was clean but no filters switched on causing dead flies on the water etc. if you like nice avoid . Resort very good and plenty to do and local restaurants had a good variety of food .

So on arrival the hotel looked lovely, keys and information were left at reception for us to collect and it was really easy to find our room. It's a small hotel but I like that, the pool was nice and as I've seen a few reviews about leaves and stuff in the pool we'll yes there's beautiful trees and flowers around so I'm sure they fly everywhere. The breakfast was great, there was so much on offer, hot stuff and cold stuff with beautiful fresh fruit every day, so I thought the breakfast was perfect. Rooms were simple, but they were great and perfect amount of space for my mum and me sharing, we had the mountain view room, and it was lovely, views were beautiful. The room had a fridge with a welcome bottle of water and kettle with teas, coffee, and all you need to make a hot drink. The hotel location is perfect, if you like to go for a walk then it's only about 10 to 15min away from the town then to the beach, you can walk through the famous sunken city and all the beautiful restaurants so lotion for me was perfect. Only negatives I would say is the cleaning for outside needs to be looked into, this hotel only does breakfast and lunch so once lunch time staff leave all the plates and cups were left outside till the next morning and also food was left in the floor by the pool for a few days before it was cleaned. I did mention this to reception, but all i got was that it will be cleaned tomorrow. The rooms need a bit more cleaning to, I had to ask for fresh towels and for the bed linen to be changed and to refill the hot drink tray, I shouldn't have to do this whether it's a 1* or 5* it should be cleaned and rooms looked after. Also the breakfast, if you have allergies you have to pay extra which to me if I already paid for breakfast in my package holiday deal I should be able to have a few things I can eat, although the hotel had sorted this for me and I appreciated it, I also didn't have to pay for the extra that was provided for me just when I tried to explain the when you have a medical condition and I can't eat gluten and paid for breakfast I shouldn't be asked to e tra €10 a day for bread so the response i felt wasnt what i wanted to hear, saying that i have to understand that they have to get the items in but creal is €4 which will last the whole holiday doesnt mean they should charge €10 extra a day but saying that I no for next time I can go to the store to buy my own bread, cereal and have the cold items. So other than that, I would love to say at this hotle again and try it one more time because other than the little minor things, the hotel was perfect for my mum and me.

We booked a last minute in late August with Jet2 for 1 sea view room and 1 mountain view room. We arrived quite late at night and were given 2 mountain view rooms - pointed this out immediately and was promised it would be dealt with after breakfast next day. To be honest I wasn’t very hopeful but true to their word we were in a new room by 10am which was lovely and had a fantastic view. Hotel is small and quiet but for us that was its charm, no sun bed wars, no pool games or entertainment- perfect for a relaxing holiday. Yes there were the occasional leaves in the pool and breakfast was a pretty standard continental with a few hot items but for us it was fine. Room was fine everything you would expect, some things a little tired but remember this is not a 5 star hotel! Hotel is about 10/15 mini stroll into Elounda depending on which way you walked but we enjoy a walk in the evening, gives us chance to decide on which one of the many wonderful restaurants we passed to eat at. Staff were great especially Maria who went out of her way to help us on many occasions and was just delightful. Without a doubt we will be back!

This hotel was my absolute favorite during my holiday. Staff is wonderful and friendly, atmosphere very relaxed and the total vibe of the place is very good. Breakfast is good with lots of options, fresh fruit and vegetables every day in the buffet. I look forward to coming back ❤️

This hotel should be rated as a hostel with private rooms rather than a « hotel », or at best a very low tier motel. The rooms are so incredibly small. The extremely loud and old air conditioning units blowing loudly right above the beds make it impossible to sleep. Terrible sound proofing, sounds can be heard from the lobby and the adjacent rooms. Bathroom so small I don’t know how people beyond 140lb even fit in the shower. The booking sites should accurately revise the rating to the hotel to a 1-2 star. Obviously budget friendly due to the low standards provided for a hotel. A big regret on my end for booking, the reviews were very misleading.

Too expensive for what your got. Beds are HORRIBLE. Hard, like sleeping on a boxspring. Rooms are minimal. We didn’t even have a blanket. We had a bed spread which only covered half the bed. The toilette seat cover would fall down constantly when your going to the bathroom so either you had to hold it up if your were a man standing or it leaned against your back . The pool is a saltwater pool and not chlorine, which is nice, but you had to pay $2 for a pool towel which seems ridiculous when your paying to stay at a place with a pool. The breakfast was huge. Pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses, cereals, eggs, juices, etc…
