Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Ellsworth / Bar Harbor

Room has very well equipped kitchenette although i did not cook. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was scrambled egg with muffin, fresh fruits, waffle, cupcakes, cookies. Cereals, oat and milk Hotel is about 40min from Acadia and we had good dinner in Governor's

My family & I drove 5 hours to get to the Hawthorn. We asked for early check-in because we were exhausted and we were visiting our cousin and Bar Harbor because she was terminal. They did not accommodate us and told us to come back. Never have I stayed at a hotel with it would not let me have an early check-in. Also online it says there’s a bar in a pool. It’s false advertising. We would’ve stayed somewhere else. Have we known that and we are glad we didn’t have the kids with us because we would’ve been pissed off because there was no pool. Very clean, hotel room, suspicious and very nice with. I stay here again probably not. It wasn’t what we expected.

Checking in was super easy at 2am. She gave us papers of Acadia and bar harbor downtown, offered to print our pass for us, and even called down as soon as we got in to see if we needed more towels or bedding. Super friendly. Nice breakfast.

Our room was updated and clean. The staff were helpful and kind. Overall, the property is on the upswing, but could use some continued improvements and cleaning.

Mixed results Nice-sized room with decent bathroom. Mattress was horrible--there was a "sinkhole" in the middle of one side. The Wifi was horrific and barely worked. Bed and A/C made weird noises.

Convenient next to food market and multiple other stores. Breackfast is included but is only starch for options. No eggs even available! Thypical SAD american diet. Microwave and great refrigerator and freezer, but no stove nor oven.
