We have stayed at the "Der Bar" many times before and as always our stay is "A Home from Home". Everything was perfect from our greeting at Reception right through to our beautifully cleaned rooms even the the weather could not dampen our mood. Thank you to all for making our stay as wonderful as always. Good to see you all again, hopefully we will see you again soon.

The view is incredible and the service impeccable! You will not find a more beautiful gem in the Tyrol. Herbert and his staff provide an amazing dining experience while Toby is one of the best bar keeps in the whole of Europe.

Great place, good food, beautiful sauna, lovely personnel. We stayed for 4 days and went mountainbiking in the area. Super holiday for a couple who want to chill out and enjoy nature. Ellmau is a little touristic, but other villages are very calm.

It is situated on an elevated position, and a very long steep road, and I had to stop several times to catch my breath. The hotel failed to offer pillow menu, or natural bedding (only acrylic/polyester). I had to sleep under cotton towels, and buy Zirbenkissen to top up tempura pillow. The buffet style of breakfast food in general was good, but I was disappointed with choices, I had in other 5 star hotels I visited, however the dinners were excellent. The staff was in general going an extra mile, and Family Windisch are extremely friendly and attentive. The spa is very good with a very professional, and knowledgeable lady. The pools are fantastic. The hotel is situated close to the mountain chain of Wilder Kaiser, and the view is wonderful! It is also very calm, and quiet on that high location, apart from the noise of the village center. There are no flowers on balconies, and the gardens luck colours, but are beautifully green. I had to agree to pay a large supplement for a double room with no table, or sofa. I paid the same supplement for a junior suite in other 5 star hotels hence my experience was only average.

A lovely hotel with great facilities, fabulous spa and views of the mountains. Lovely food and friendly helpful staff. Our second time here and we will be back next year. You can ski in and out if there’s enough snow, if not hop on the shuttle. I bet it’s lovely in the summer!

Fabulous hotel, really stylish, excellent food, service and drinks. Really nice spacious room, comfy beds, great view. We all loved the indoor and outdoor pool and the relaxation room with views of the mountains. Owners very visible, lovely staff…would highly recommend!

Just back from a short stay at this hotel and can truly say it is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The hotel itself is beautiful with an amazing infinity pool and spa area. The food was also fantastic. What makes this hotel really stand out however is the family feel and the service you receive throughout. Our waiter during our stay (Odysseus) gave us the best service we have had on a holiday, remembering which wine we ordered each night, remembering our coffee orders at breakfast and brining these without us asking, and just generally making us feel at home. We were also really impressed with how involved the owners are - they would regularly pop over to chat to us and make sure everything was perfect with our stay. We will definitely be back!

Great place and staff. Lovely lovely pool area and perfect ski in/out hotel for a day of hitting the slopes Food was very good too and the bar area was welcoming for pre dinner drinks. You can tell the refurbishment was done with great care and attention.
