My Wife was due to stay at the hotel from Sunday 9th to Thursday 13th Feb but fell ill with a very heavy Flu bug on the 8th and was therefore unable to travel, despite desperately wishing to Ski with friends. She is still suffering from the Flu bug. Even with a cancellation free booking she fell ill 24 hours before check in. Incredibly the hotel has charged full price of her booking, despite being informed on the 9th by her friends, who were also staying at the hotel. The Bill was €1,135.96 and no compensation was given despite non attendance incurring no costs for the Hotel. Frankly, this is extremely poor customer service and a lack of consideration of the situation. It is clearly this hotel lacks compassion and only after your money.

We were there in the low season and I have to say the price/performance ratio was great. The room was simple but perfectly adequate and clean. The breakfast buffet was served in the valley station next door and was great. In summer it is a perfect starting point for hiking and in winter it is right next to the lift and après-ski in the Ellmauer Hex opposite. You can walk to the Bergdoktor's practice or the center of Ellmau. There are plenty of parking spaces. The sauna area is good, and there is a small pool with a few loungers in the covered area - sufficient in the low season but too small in peak season. There are also snacks in the lounge area at reception and Sky Bundesliga is shown on weekends - very cozy thanks to the fireplace.

Mit der Lage und dem Service waren wir total zufrieden. Auch der Pool ist schön, wenn auch kleiner als auf den Hotel Bildern dargestellt. Der Wellnessbereich ist ziemlich zweckmäßig mit einer Sauna. die Gastro besteht aus Bistro-Artikeln wie Flammkuchen oder Aufbackpizza. Was uns massiv gestört hat, war der krasse Lärm bis spät in die Nacht, weil die Gäste draußen auf der Terrasse bewirtet und auch nicht nach drinnen geholt werden. Schlafen war für uns und die Kinder unmöglich. Es gab kein Telefon auf dem Hotelzimmer, und die Rezeption wäre sowieso nicht besetzt gewesen. Auch als wir das am nächsten Tag angemerkt haben, gab es nur eine knappe Entschuldigung. Tatsächlich ist die Erholung aber völlig dahin, wenn man die ganze Nacht nicht schlafen kann. Eine intelligente Zimmervergabe bei einem Hotel das abends Livemusik macht und Gäste auf der Terrasse mitten in der Hotelanlage bewirtet, sollte man eigentlich voraussetzen können. Es gab auch abgelegene Zimmer, in denen man den Lärm wahrscheinlich nicht so laut gehört hätte. Alles in allem für uns also eine große Enttäuschung.

Wir hatten das „Glück“ für 250 EUR pro Nacht in einem schlauchartigen Zimmer zu schlafen. Es war am weitesten entfernt von der aktuell stattfindenden Oldtimer Rallye aber sowohl qualitativ als auch akustisch eine Zumutung. Die lodges sehen auf den ersten Blick schön aus, das Konzept mit mehreren kleinen Häusern und darin aufgeteilten Zimmern ist gut gedacht. Im Zimmer stellten wir jedoch fest, dass es sich um billigst verleidete und weiß gestrichene Bauholz Wände handelt, das hatte eher den Charme einer Jugendherberge. Nachdem am Abend der Lautsprecher der Rallye abgeschaltet wurde ( startpunkt ist direkt auf dem großen Parkplatz vor dem Hotel) kehrte etwas Ruhe ein bis über Nacht der Mähroboter wie ein Wachhund seine Runden drehte und klappernd durch die Nacht fuhr. Schlafen mit offenem Fenster war so leider auch nicht möglich. Morgens um 7:30 nahm der Rallye Betrieb wieder Fahrt auf so dass der Tag gleich laut begann. Für 100 EUR pro Nacht hätte ich mich nicht beschwert, für den Preis darf man Besseres erwarten und findet es auch überall in der Umgebung.

Kein Stauraum in den Zimmern. Haben als Winterurlauber eine Woche aus dem Koffer leben müssen. Vorkasse der vollen Summe Monate vorher. Noch nie vorher erlebt. Schwimmbad nur Nachmittags geöffnet. Sauna in einem anderen Haus als das Schwimmbad. Wege zu den Häusern trotz Traumwetter nicht geräumt. Parkplätze sollten reserviert sein, nicht ein einziger war reserviert.

Tolle Lage, alles da was man für einen tollen Skiurlaub braucht. Hartkaiserbahn, Apres-Ski und Wellnesbereich. Sehr gutes Frühstück im Restaurant. Und am Lieblingsplatzerö kann man Abends sehr schön noch das eine oder andere Glas Wein genießen! Zimmer sind zweckmäßig, mehr Stauraum, auch für Skiklammotten wäre gut.

Das zu allen Hoteleinrichtungen (Sauna, Pool, Gastro) durchs Freie gelaufen werden muss, mag im Sommer noch ok sein im Winter definitiv nicht. Der Skikeller hat keine beheizten Schuhständer auch das ein NoGo. Die Gastro, Frühstück und Abendessen nur sehr durchschnittlich, da empfiehlt es sich in den Ort zu fahren, oder ein kl Frühstück in der Lounge. Zimmer generell schön, Schiebtüren zum WC dämmen aber keine Geräusche, sehr kleines Bad mit kaum Abstellfläche, Handtücher trocknen nicht. Pool super voll an Schwimmen nicht zu denken in der schönen Sauna sind nicht genug Liegen, Lage direkt am Lift ist gut
