Pretty okay, quite green (but limited view) and reasonable room. A bit tightly packed. Owner friendly and does his best. Indeed, quite close to the center.

I recently stayed three nights at Ella Green cottages with my soon (13) and we had a lovely experience. The cozy cottages are nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush greenery, which gave it a serene and peaceful jungle atmosphere with birds and small monkeys playing around. The cottages themselves were cozy and comfortable, with the necessary amenities to make the stay comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfast each morning. Pancakes, toast, fresh fruits, omelets and various traditional Sri Lankan foods. The host was very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make os feel comfortable and ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Ella Green cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature. We were set for two adventurous nights at Ella Green Coaches and were not disappointed when we were greeted by monkeys and squirrels. The staff was very helpful and very flexible when it came to special requests for breakfast. For the price the performance was very good. The location was a bit out of the way, but nice and quiet and almost idyllic. Anyone hoping for luxury is in the wrong place here. Overall a great experience in Ella.
