I don’t think the location is ideal. Cuz it is up to the hill so must use a tug tug every time u go outside. Also there is no restaurant near by. Must go to city and It was concerning. If u have heavy luggage it is hard to go out and in. Cuz it has many stairs.
Owner or manager is very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The view was great tho.

Great view, no shampoo or toothbrushes in the bathroom and dead bugs on the floor. The room itself is quite clean with a great view and a very tasty breakfast. During breakfast the staff member chased away monkeys that wanted to steal our food.

The staff were super kind and very welcoming especially Piranatha the manager. He also helped find me a lovely tuk tuk driver Vijay who became my guide. The room had an amazing view and the breakfast was fantastic. They also did my laundry for a reasonable rate

We had a very nice stay the two days we stayed in Ella, so thank you manager Priyanatha. He was serviceminded and very nice to talk with. The breakfast was good and the wiev was fantastic. And if we needed something we got very good help. He arranged tuk tuk to the Lipton tea plantation and taxi to Kandy.

Nestled in Ella on WaterFalls Rd is the ‘Ella Alpine Resort’ offering a serene stay, great views and service. We booked a 4-night stay and our room was clean & comfortable. I requested a hair dryer and one was promptly delivered! Currently under new ownership and undertaking improvements, the owner kindly checked in via WhatsApp, before arrival, on arrival and during our stay. The new onsite manager, Priyanatha is also amazing! He was welcoming and made our stay very comfortable and memorable. Breakfast (if your room includes this) was always prepared fresh by the cook with delicious fresh fruit & juice each day to your liking or request. On one night we requested dinner (as we were returning late after a day trip) and this was made to our requests and was also yummy! The property is walking distance to the town Center or a tuk tuk will also get you there. Only issue is the road to access the property. I know this has nothing specifically to do with the Alpine Resort! However many hotels, resorts, home stays, rooms to rent are on this road and it would be awesome if they banded together to ensure access is improved. Currently some sections are narrow and difficult to drive making it difficult for cars and even the Tuktuks! Recommend this hotel for a wonderful getaway from the noise and bustle of the town. Night skies are just awesome!

I arrived to this wonderfull resort after spending a week in other places in Sri Lanka. The room was very Nice, with a stunning view over the mountains in Ella. Since the resort is away from the city center, there is very Quiet here, which is great if you seek calmness and quietness. For me as a solo traveller, it was too quiet here, and too far away from the city center, although the view was simply stunning. The host Indran was so sweet and gave me a Warm welcome. He made breakfast for me everyday, with variations of juice and fruit plates. He also showed me Little Adam’s Peak, and Nine Arch bridge, and helped me taking pictures. I experienced spiders in my room, and since I dont like spiders, it was a problem. I also experienced a lot of noise from animals outside, especially from birds. During the election, I wanted to leave before I was suppose to, and the host Rochane adviced me to wait to before or after the election, so I decided to leave the hotel before the election. He was so kind to refund me for 1 night and told me that He would give the money to Indran for me, which was really kind of him.

Absolutely loved it. Indran was an amazing host and cooked the most delicious breakfast. Was super helpful getting transport and had great tips for Ella. Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Gorgeous views. The room had an outdoor setting for meals too.
