We stayed @ 2305 Longport CT Elk Grove, Ca. room # 234/KXTD on 9/27/2022 This was the dirtiest Hampton Inn we have ever come a crossed. We are honor members. This was the first time that we have had a problem at a Hampton Inn. We were shocked by the room's lack of cleanliness. We were tired and just wanted to rest for the night after a long day. We ended up going to our car to get wipes to clean so that we would be comfortable. Below please find the list of issues we endured. Carpet in hallway leading to the room dirty and unvacuumed. Window in hallway looking outside had been slimed with who knows what. Floor in the bathroom sticky. Shower floor was dirty inside and out. We didn't shower because it was so gross. My husband washed his hair in the sink and the hairdryer didn't work. The vent in the bathroom didn't work and you could see into the vent, and it was filthy. The coffee pot was dirty/dusty and so we went down to the lobby to get a cup. (No regular creamer. Only hazelnut). I am allergic to nuts. The bed appeared to be clean, but the dust ruffle was dirty. I was afraid to look under the bed. The phone charging station and remote was filthy. The window coverings and the valance were falling apart and ripped. Both chairs in the room were extremely dirty and old. It was dusty inside the closet behind the mirror where the ironing board is stored. The old phones and light switches were gross. I could go on, but I will stop here. Needless to say, we had a restless night and should have asked for a refund and left. With families only beginning to travel again and covid still lurking in the background I think your hotel needs to do a better job. We were told that the maids were not doing their job, but it wouldn't be their fault the furniture and vents and window coverings needed replacing. Isn't it managements job to check on things and replace when needed? It is also managements job to make sure the rooms are clean. We paid $167.03 for the un-restful night.

When I checked in, I didn't receive The best service but it was OK. Got my keys and checked in the room was fine. Everything went well the 1st night. I made a reservation for 2 more night...it was a easy transition. They allowed me to stay in the same room which was awesome. At 1 AM in the morning the fire alarm went off and we were all outside for about an hour. I was inconvenienced but I understood because it was for our safety. Fast forward to 6:45 in the morning I get a knock at the door. Nobody was there. 2 seconds later I received a call and it is Amber on the phone telling me that there are 2 trash bags outside my door and I need to remove them because it's a fire hazard. I hung up because I was sleepy due to the fire alarm...I was tired.. 2 seconds later I received another knock on my door and it's Amber telling me that now I have to check out at 11 despite the fact that I have one more night. Due to the fact that I have trash in the hallway...and that I hung up on her. Usually at hotels when I order smelly food I put it outside the door. I did not know it was a fire hazard if I did I wouldn't have discarded it outside my door. But at the same time there was no reason for Amber to wake me up at 6:45 in the morning for trash. I am positive there is a more professional way to handle the situation. I went to the front desk because Amber locked my key out so therefore I cannot get back into my room and I ask her why she cannot be professional and tell me the reason for her waking me up at 6:45 in the morning. She said because you hung up on me. And I have a dog. I told them at check in that I had a dog . The only reason why I'm here is because this hotel is pet friendly and the rooms are OK. Then she proceeded to yell at me and the other lady that was at the front desk made my Key and was professional. Fast forward to 730 I grabbed the key that did not work by mistake ...and who was at the front desk only Amber. And i asked for a key she told me don't tell me what to do. I had to call corporate to get a key back to my room after she cussed at me and was being super unprofessional. This whole experience is uncalled for and it's astounding that she has this attitude towards guests especially after we were up for 2 hours due to a fire alarm early this morning. It seems like she is dealing with something internally and is taking it out on the guests. That has to be the only reason for someone to act that way. I came here to get away not to deal with unprofessionalism and ignorance.

Okay, so I'm not a Fiddler on a Roof, but I will ”sing the praises” of the staff at the Red Roof Inn. Some home improvements recently mandated that I find a place to stay for a couple of weeks with my dogs. I initially stayed two nights at a cheap corporate-managed competitor but felt that something was missing. I travelled nearby and met Angie at the Red Roof Inn. She was welcoming and enticed me to stay there answering my safety, service, and amenity concerns (I needed a place for my 2 dogs, and appreciated that the rooms promised a microwave, a mini fridge, a hairdryer, and coffeemaker...the only thing that was missing was a safe but my dogs don't wear Cartier Collar Bling so we were good.) When I returned later to book a room, Maria helped me find the courtesy reservation made by Angie. Maria has been a super star throughout my stay. She works various shifts and is always friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I am not sure if the rooms have recently been renovated but I was pleased with the decor and my comfortable king-sized bedroom (I could visualize this room being in much pricier hotels I have stayed in). I was assisted by four different room attendants, my favorite being Shereen. The other helpful attendants were Shabeena, Riley, and Sovita. Before checking out for a weekend trip, I notified Jesse (maintenance) of a broken electrical plug...when I checked back in 3-days later, it was fixed. While I was away, I received a call from Mahogany verifying my upcoming reservation. I had forgotten to call the property and really appreciated her follow up. Mahogany was always great along with Evelyn, who always called me by name and made me feel like family. The other two front desk agents who helped me were Melini and O'Neal. I mention all whom I met by name because they all prove that you don't have to be a Five-Star Hotel to give Five-Star Service. I noticed many members of this team helping each other instead of having an ”it's not my job” attitude. I believe a team is only as good as the management so I have to also give kudos to Amit and Aneesh. The neighborhood is not the greatest but the property is literally up against a CHP office. They offer free parking (always had a close space) and I never felt unsafe (I was approached once by a young lady who Donna Summer might have referred to as a ”Bad Girl,” but after a quick, ”toot toot, hey, beep beep,” I let her know that she was barking up the wrong tree...as my dogs barked at her!). The property does have a washer and a dryer (working), as well as, an ice machine (broken after first night) and two vending machines (not working during my stay). There is a Jack in the Box across the street but, while you could walk 10-20 minutes, you really need to drive to a close market or convenience store. All in all, this is very good property. I signed up for Trip Advisor just to compliment this staff. This is the first time I have stayed at a Red Roof In

When I checked in, I didn't receive The best service but it was OK. Got my keys and checked in the room was fine. Everything went well the 1st night. I made a reservation for 2 more night...it was a easy transition. They allowed me to stay in the same room which was awesome.

Health and facilities are worthy of this price, moderate and the service is a bit unfriendly. On the day of check-in, I drove for nearly 10 hours. I arrived at 10 o'clock in the evening. I was too tired to sleep late. At 9 o'clock, the waiter came to knock on the door. I didn't know what to do. The person who opened the door had already left. After a while, I came to check out at 11 o'clock. I thought I would check out at 12 o'clock, and the hotel asked for 11 o'clock back. It was Just before I brush my teeth, the waiter opened the door directly, and knocked again 15 minutes later.

Dated hotel. Clean, staff very friendly. They don’t have cream for coffee in the morning, only a coconut oil based coffee whitener. Yuck! Breakfast was good otherwise, ran out of menu items. They did offer fruit instead of meat on menu items. That was nice. Hot tub was turned off. They didn’t say why. No restaurant on a Sunday night. There is a BJ’s within walking distance though. Bed comfortable and shower was good. Bottom line that is what you want.

We stayed in a King suite and was disappointed. Bed was uncomfortable and with the smoke in the air outside we were smelling it in our room which was not good. We never opened the window and for us to smell it in the room was not healthy at all. We had to grab the extra blanket and cover the window at the bottom to prevent it from coming in which helped a ton. I let the lady at the desk know and she said gave a weird look and I was asking for a late checkout cause we didnt sleep very well cauae the smoke and she said it was ok for 3pm with $50 charge. I honestly feel she shouldn't have charged us because of smoke. We paid $205 per night for a room with the uncomfortable bed and smoke coming in the room. That will be last time we will stay there.
