Great location, only a 10 minute walk from skala town. With shop 2 minute walk away and restaurants/beach on the door step. Room was spacious with kitchenette, plenty of storage, balcony (with an unexpected view of the beach) Breakfast spread was good, included fruit and yogurt, cereal and pastries, also a good range of cooked items to choose from. Pool area was clean and very relaxing. Bar was well stocked with good beer in chilled glasses. Staff were great especially Eva who made our stay! Amazing service and friendly, also kindly helped us sort transport for days out. Will definitely be coming back next year!

Location was great very close to the beach and about a 10 minute walk into the main area of Scala. Pool area nice with decent sun beds and parasols, pool towels provided. Room was big with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, safety deposit box in the wardrobe. We had a kettle and fridge so able to make a hot drink. Room was clean but very dated the bathroom was especially dark no ceiling light just 3 small bulbs over the sink, no window in the bathroom to let in natural light either. Breakfast a bit disappointing.

Just back from a lovely stay in melidron hotel. We’ve stayed quite a few times now and this stay we were a bit apprehensive because it has new owners, we need ent have been, the staff are lovely ,especially Leah on reception who was absolutely fantastic. Rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday by the two wonderful cleaning ladies. Two small hiccups were, they ran out of mythos one day ,and we had lunch which wasn’t as good as expected , all in all though , these are little teething problems which didn’t spoil our stay . Can’t wait to visit again.

Had a lovely holiday at the melidron hotel.we stayed there last year too .it is in a perfect position 3 mins from the beach.a beautiful infinity pool where you can watch the boats etc on lovely skala beach..restaurants and Taverner’s shops and bars on the doorstep.but very quiet and so peaceful you feel you are in the country.it is immaculately clean and no problem with sunbeds.small bar with food and snacks .rooms are large and plenty of storage.looking forward to going back..it’s under new management now but the staff are lovely and very friendly.

I stayed here for 4 nights after a week in a villa elsewhere. The location is great, Supermarket with 2 mins walk,as is the beach. The pool is gorgeous and was never busy at all as there are only 24 rooms. The breakfast is simple and fresh and had the best eggs ever The room is functional and clean, close to the the bar and breakfast room. The hotel is small, traditional and very friendly indeed,there were people there that return year on year as it's so special and personal. We have stayed in some amazing places before, but this for us is the nicest welcome and were so well looked after by all of the staff, everyone was greeted by their names daily, and felt so relaxed. Wendy, Theo ,Costas would do anything for you ,as nothing is too much trouble. The people who stayed there were all lovely too, so we will without doubt return here for sure. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and we liked the chill out bar 5 mins walk once you turn left at the see front. Honestly cannot recommend this place enough! Hello to everyone we met as too many people to remember.

I am quite sad that I have to write this review. First stayed at the Melidron in June 2023 and had a great time. But this stay was not the same. I know the hotel is in the process of being sold and I am well aware that our stay was towards the end of the season, but that is no excuse for not making an effort for the paying guests. For example, when we visited last year, bread was delivered every morning by the local baker. It was lovely and we went to breakfast every morning looking forward to eating the very fresh bread. This time we were greeted by supermarket sliced loaves - why? Not the same experience at all. Felt overall the breakfasts were not as nice as last time. The bar was not fully stocked either - no Diet Coke or Pepsi (don't drink full sugar drinks) and the wine I enjoyed during my last visit ran out the first day I was there. I kept being promised that they would get some more but after asking each day for the first 4 or 5 days of the holiday, I gave up. The lady who did the food at breakfast and lunchtimes left 2 days after we got there (and was not replaced) so there was only a very limited lunchtime menu available between 12.30 and 3.30. Last year the food available each lunchtime was great and we spend quite a few days eating there. This time we chose to eat elsewhere every day. Wendy was as helpful as she could be, cleaners did a good job but we left for the UK feeling that our stay was not what we had hoped and expected based on our previous visit.

What a fabulous hotel tucked up a quiet sidesteps 2 minutes walk from the beautiful Skala beach. All the staff are welcoming, helpful, friendly and great fun. The rooms are spacious with all necessary facilities and the bar/pool area is stunning. The village of Skala has everything you need with great bars and restaurants.

Stayed at the Melidron again for a week in September. Most folk are 'returners' as there can't be many (if any) small family run hotels this good in all of Kef. All the staff are great and they look after us all so well. A big thank you to Zefie, Wendy, Aris, Kristina and all the other staff who make sure we all have a wonderful holiday. They are my 'Greek Family' since the first time I stayed here. I hope to see you again next year. This has been my 'go-to' place for many years now. Kefalonia, Skala, Melidron. It's my idea of my perfect retreat to wind down and recharge. You all have my best wishes and love. The Walking Wizard!
