The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the doors lock with keys, which made the room feel secure. It is a great place for surfers, especially because of the location and the relaxed atmosphere. I stayed in a private room with a big bed, a table, a shelf and AC, which I could adjust myself. The bathroom was shared with one other room, so it still felt quite private. The room was cleaned after check-out or, depending on the number of nights, also in between. Since I had the room to myself, it never felt dirty. There is also a small store with the essentials integrated, which is very convenient, and there are two restaurants directly there as well. Overall, it was a top experience and I would definitely recommend staying here, especially for surfers looking for a relaxed stay in El Zonte. :)

The place is excellent. I enjoy my stay. The place it's amazing. The rooms are great. The staff were very nice and friendly. The Hostal La Canasta t's a jewel in the area. I highly recommend.

We had the bad luck to come on a day with a night party right next to our room going on until 3am - By the way, the place is nice and quiet, next to the beach.
