Amazing sized room in this circular built hotel after talking with Reception staff polite ,helpful with all our requirements. Good humour made you feel welcome from the moment you walked in. Room on 4th floor views over several areas ,openable window which helped to maintain the right room temperature air conditioning available. Bed very comfortable. Spacious bathroom with easy to use shower beautiful towels etc. Helpful staff for all your additional cups,towels. TV and Internet, tea and coffee making facilities and fridge.Everywhere spotless very relaxing chairs and table in front of large windows. Quiet at night. Restaurant and bar available inside or out. Near Metro station ,shops cafes etc 10 minute walk to Ramblas. Under ground car parking available ample street parking also. Car rental desk in reception. Good value for money.

The room has a door that communicates with the next room . It is all heard . I couldn't sleep because in the next room there was a kid crying all night . I was told they would change my room and didn't do it. 2 nights without sleep or rest well. Breakfast is scarce and it takes a long time to clean the few tables.

The hotel is very good, very new and modern. It is also very clean. It is a bit far from the center. Regarding the staff, they were very little proactive. I checked in at 9:00 p.m. and went up to the room, when I went down to dinner at 10:05 p.m. they told me that the restaurant closes at 10:00 p.m. I think it's normal to report that, especially when you arrive at that time. Arriving to the hotel we were told they messed up the reservations and there were no rooms available but they already made a reservation in another nearby hotel. The other hotel was of much lower category. Pool closed in the other hotel, one double bed and not two individual beds. I would be quite surprised if the other hotel would be able to use the Marriott brand…..nevertheless after seeing the other hotel we went back to AC hotel San Cugat to write an official claim. Surprisingly while doing this other clients were checking in. But no room for us. But it is no shame to go when you get kicked out. I think I have had it with AC hotels and wonder how Marriott can afford their name being used in connection with those principles.
