Visited here in March 2024 on a lads snowboarding trip. I'll get a few of the negative's out the way first as the positives far outweigh the negatives. The worst thing for me was the facilities for storing the snow gear, skis and snowboards following a day in the snow I would expect the facilities to be good enough to dry out the gear ready for the next day but we found the locker room damp with no heating like we have experienced in other hotels in the past. This meant out boots were damp each day. The mountain views advertised mean you can see part of a mountain if you break your neck out the windows. Not really an issue though. The hotel location is perfect for access to the slopes. Literally a few minutes walk. Directly next door in either direction or opposite the hotel are bars and clubs, shops and ski shops etc. Noise from bars and clubs was a bit loud on the weekend and woke me one night but nothing major. I have seen a few bad reviews mention the language of the staff not being great English. Considering you're not in England I'm not sure what some people expect. Majority of the staff had good English with only a few struggled a bit to understand us and likewise us to understand them but overall it was not a problem. One thing I can say is even if the language was an issue the staff we pleasant, polite and helpful. Rooms was tidy and housekeeping cleaned and made beds every day. not the biggest rooms but good enough for what we needed. Food was good from the restaurant. I tended to stay away from the main buffet as the food was generally not hot enough unless you're lucky enough to get the food when it comes out but the freshly cooked grilled food each night cooked to order along with the fresh eggs / omelet's each morning was more than adequate. Fresh fruit and pastries each day was also good. Spa facilities was basic but better than nothing and we did spend a couple of nights in there. On the day of departure we had to leave early at 4.30am and the hotel provided us all with a small bag containing some food and a drink which was a nice unexpected touch. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I came back to this area for snowboarding in the future.

We visited Pas during the February half term with our two sons. The hotel location is perfect and just a short walk to the slopes from the ski lockers. The staff deserve a particular mention, the reception girls were very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant staff were very pleasant and efficient and the restaurant food was varied, there was plenty of choice for everyone. Although the hotel was full, we never felt the queues were overly long at breakfast or dinner. We were very happy with our 2 interconnecting rooms, which were very clean and spacious, and we had a view of the slopes, which was fab. Heard some noise outside in the night from partygoers on a couple of occasions, but it didn't affect our holiday at all. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Lovely hotel, convenient for the lifts with good facilities to store your skis. Staff are very friendly and efficient, even Victoria, the hotel Director, is up front making sure the guests have everything they need. The food was good although the grill gets busy with no order to who is served. The reception and cafe were well presented and a pleasant place to spend some time after a long day on the slopes. My room was very clean and in good condition, however as a solo traveller the size was insufficient especially as I had to pay single occupancy. Overall I had a fabulous experience at the Font D Argent and would recommend this hotel to friends and family and visit again myself if a larger room was provided. Neil

Font D'Argent is a really nice hotel. The rooms are nice and clean. The bed is comfortable. The staff at the hotel was excellent, helpful and nice. All great! Until around 11pm. The hotel is right above some bars and the noise at night - until 3AM ... and even 5AM is HORRIBLE. It is constant. It is loud. Not just screaming kids. Fights. Bottles breaking. You name it. EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. and the hotel claims that there is nothing that can be done. Calling the police (only in extreme situations) doesn't help. And if you are coming for a great getaway with relaxation, peace and quiet, etc. - this is NOT the hotel for you. I even BOUGHT earplugs, closed the window completely (which makes the room stuff),etc. - not good enough!!!! I cannot emphasize how bad of a problem this is. I will NEVER, EVER return to this hotel again until this problem is solved.

This hotel had everything we wanted and exceeded our expectations. We didn't have high expectations of the spa based on the pictures. Don't be fooled. For the 8 euro fee, the peace and quiet of just yourselves and potentially just 1 other couple in the hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas is perfect. Food was great, parking was easy, and the staff couldn't be any more helpful. The bed was comfy and you don't get much closer to the slopes, especially with the convenient skiers entrance at the rear of the hotel direct to your private locker. Can't wait to visit again

Great location, is what it is. Hotel rooms all acceptable. The Spa is small and they charge for it per visit, the car park isn’t included and charged. The food at dinner was so average, tasteless, bland - we ended up going out for dinner every night. The staff Are ok but wonder if the chef and manager have ever tried what they are serving. Severe lack of attention there and they should do better

We run a glamping business in the u.k ,"trunkquillity treehouse" We know you cant please everyone, all of the time, weve had offers of blackmail,"bad reviews unless you give us money etc",tripadvisor is continually abused by many types, the hotel is lovley, the staff are wonderful, thats what you should be reviewing The hotel is not responsible for clubs, pubs or drunks We recomend it fully for what it is and its proximity from the slopes Well done John and helen

Good location and clean hotel. Most staff were very friendly but we could not get reception staff to change our rooms despite them promising to do so. Issues we had were on two counts: The rooms were very noisy at night. Lots pf shouting and loud behaviour outside as the bars closed. This carried on till 4am. We were supposedly on the 3rd floor but because the hotel is on a hill that meant our windows were at street level, making noises levels very high! Other issue was cold food. the heat lamps seem to not work. The dinner opened at 7pm and you arrive and help yourself to food on the counter and it would be cold. Which can be lead to food poisoning!

Overall I did enjoy my stay at the Font D’Argent, though it was let down in a number of areas. Our check-in was quick and easy and the room was very comfortable in general. We loved the spar downstairs and the ski locker room was very handy before going out on the slopes. The highlight was the catering staff, from the servers to the chefs, who were always highly welcoming and did their best to attend to our needs. Beginning with the food provision, it was disappointing how few meat-free options were available. Additionally, the placards were highly inconsistent with displaying the contents of a dish, for those with dietary requirements and allergies, of which my party had both. Our room keys would demagnetise, meaning we had to repeatedly have them reset by reception. Once or twice may be expected, but when it was happening daily, this became an unnecessary frustration. Our en suite didn’t seem to have a working extractor fan, so water vapour and bathroom smells would fill the room unless we kept the door closed at all times. We also needed to open the large window onto the noisy street in order to receive fresh air daily. The sound proofing was otherwise very good, but it was unfortunate that this was necessitated by lack of an extractor fan. The worst part of our stay was the neighbours in the rooms across from us, who would play loud music with the door open and smoke so that the smell was actually strong in our room. We spoke to them, and then complained to the reception when this didn’t stop, but little seemed to be done. Considering how strong the smell was in the corridor, it was actually worrying that none of the fire alarms went off. While it was chance that we happened to be living across from such people, we would have liked to see more evidence of action being taken by the staff, or at least reassurance that they were doing all that they could. Overall I did very much like this hotel, and again the highlight was the lovely catering staff. Unfortunately our stay was somewhat spoiled by a number of things coming together.
