The rooms were comfortable and we had a nice view looking over the ski slopes. It is a 5 minute walk down to the ski lifts or 10 minutes if you are carrying skis and walking in ski boots. I would recommend leaving your skis/boots in a shop or Grandvalira ticket office rather than taking up and down to the Hotel (the hotel does have a good locker area for storing overnight). The reception staff were helpful despite the hotel being full. We did the half-board option - the buffet breakfast was generally varied - eggs station, variety of bread, fruit, cereals, etc. The dinner buffet was a bit of hit and miss - the pre-cooked plates were not great (need to be simplified into dishes that everyone likes - there were too many dishes that no-one was eating) but the salad section and meat station had good options on some of the evenings. The desert options each evening were generally very good. The bar area was simple but cosy with a pool table and table football for the kids. We really enjoyed the Magician evening - he was excellent! I think this hotel is in between a 3 and 4 star, but improvements need to be made to be a solid 4.

Having stayed at the previously named Himalaia Pas 3 times previously we were hoping the newly named Grand Pas would offer the same friendly stay with a few upgrades. How wrong we were. Apart from a rushed paint job there was not much change and we were very disappointed. Publicity photos show large rooms with big windows and newly decorated bathrooms. This is not a true reflection. Our room on 6th floor was so dark we needed to use a torch to see inside the wardrobe and safe. We had no heating in our room for 4 days and it took 3 days to provide us with temporary heaters. The hotel provided Nespresso machines with 2 pods, one each for the entire week. We used these on first day and dirty coffee cups were left for 5 days. We reported this to reception on day 3 and eventually left them outside our room on day 5 as despite assurances they were still there. The glasses in the room and bathroom were also not changed the entire week. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. I have never stayed in any hotel where cups and glasses were not changed daily or where tea and coffee was not replaced. They found it difficult to accommodate us as a group of 7 in the restaurant and we were made to felt like a nuisance every time we arrived to eat. On one evening we were asked to leave to make room for other guests even though we were still drinking our wine. There was also a raid by armed police one morning to rooms on the fifth floor, quite alarming, and my son and his girlfriend were woken in the early hours by someone trying to break into their room. When they reported this to reception they were unconcerned. And please don’t get me started on the spa facilities. These had always been part of the holiday previously but a room card I found from previous visits showed that charges for non inclusive guests were €2 for 2 day €4 for 2days and €6 for anything over 3 days. This is reasonable, what isn’t reasonable is one free visit and then a charge of €12 per person for an hour. YES!!€12 per person!!!!! Previously the pool was open 10-2000 and as visitors who don’t all ski everyday we were looking forward to spending some time in the pool but found it only open after 1630. When we did go for our free hour it was so hot in the pool, Whirlpool and shower that I couldn’t stand it for longer than 15 minutes . The sauna was the coolest area in there!! On a plus point the real fire in the bar area was lovely and the 2 girls who served in the bar were the best staff in the hotel. The magician who entertained one evening was also fantastic. However overall I would say the staff had a huge morale problem, they all seemed stressed most of the time and we never saw anyone who would seem to be a senior manager or in charge. On the morning we left there was no coffee available and as a final insult the night receptionist couldn’t even be bothered to say goodbye. I have noted that management read these reviews and leave banal platitudes apologising and promising a better stay

This was our 5th stay at this hotel (it was the Hotel Himàlaia when we stayed previously). We were all looking forward to our holiday – sadly the standards have gone down considerably! Room occupancy muck up - at booking we had clearly identified who was in each room. On arrival we were told it was a mixture of names in the triple room and not as booked. The receptionist took a long while trying to understand what we had requested - even when we showed the booking confirmation email. Eventually we went to the room allocated in the incorrect names - this must be a H&S issue as they would have no idea who was in each room. Not allowed 3 key cards at check in -we were told that was the hotel policy. Regardless that we were 3 adults who were going to the hotel at different times during the day because of different ski levels. Along with this one key only given for the ski lockers which hold two sets of skis. Good job we brought our own padlocks on for use with our suitcases. Room not catered for 3 people - a third bed had been made up but the room only had 2 towels, glasses, cups and saucers and 2 coffee pods. The third bed didn’t get made most days. Restaurant - told we couldn’t sit together as a group of 7 despite booking for 8pm and being treated like a nuisance when we asked to sit as a group in the restaurant at other times. They shouldn’t book parties if more than four if can’t be catered to sit together - we went on holiday together to enjoy each other’s company! Restaurant – one evening being told to leave restaurant when still had drinks. We weren’t informed that we only had the table for an hour! Lights not working in bedrooms – two rooms had one flashing light and one non-working reading light. The flashing light got replaced but the other did not. No heating in one of the rooms - we asked multiple times for it to be sorted, someone went up and bled the radiator, still no heating. Wasn’t given a mini heater until the third day of holiday which we had to ask for. Only heating available was in the bathroom. Coffee machine not working – had to report a few times before it was replaced. AND only allowed two coffee pods for free on the first day then having to pay afterwards for more. Dirty cups and glasses not taken away as part of the cleaning process. Advertises a mini bar and fridge – only an empty fridge in the room. One room had an attempted break-in - response from reception “I’m sorry” then walked away no help given afterwards. Tacky cleaning protocol and even had to request more toilet rolls as cleaners somehow missed this. One free entry then €12 for use of the swimming facilities, website says €10 - Spa facilities - showers too hot to use - no hot sauna/jacuzzi then cold shower experience only stayed for 20 mins - glad this was a free visit! Settees falling apart in bar area. No breakfast bag on early departure - we sat on the coach with others tucking into a breakfast bag; There was no evidence of any bag or even being of

We´ve been here last year and the difference in the Breakfast & Dinner Buffet is huge, for worst. We've saw 3 star Hotels with more respectable Buffets. Worst Buffet of our lifes in a 4 star Hotel. Told me that they change owner and they changed the Chef! Eaven the service in not as friendly as it was. What a shame!!

Three families across all ages. Booked through TUI /Cristal some first time skiing. Firstly, I would say the staff were lovely, patient and helpful. The food was more than adequate. Buffet style in the restaurant the breakfast was good especially the melon. Evening meal not served until 7.30 pm which is no good for the youngest member of our group. We picked this hotel because of the swimming pool as two of us were not skiing but it didn’t open until 4pm. In fact, nothing here is open until after that time including the lounge area where we would have happily sat and spent some money. There is no room service. The swimming pool is pleasant but the showers were cold. The lounge area needs refurbishing - damaged furniture. The children’s play area was disgraceful with dangerous, useless broken toys. Thankfully the family rooms were close together. They were spacious and bright with a view as they are mostly at the front of the hotel. However, the double/twin rooms are at the back. Our room was too dismal and dark no way could we have stayed in there for a week. Reception organised a change to a room on the same floor, with a view and a couch. Brilliant but it did cost us another 300 Euros. The skier’s were happy with it’s access to the slopes but it is at the top of the hill for walking. There’s a very small supermarket next door. TUI and their Reps need a shake up stuck at the back of the coach for 3 hours with 2 noisy groups who were drinking - nightmare!! We did have a great holiday though.

I have to compliment Sophia from the front desk and the bartender Camilla. I will absolutely come back because of Camilla who gave us the best service ever, I would love to come back in the summer and see them both at this hotel!

This hotel deserves 5 stars for its brilliant staff. They were consistently friendly and accommodating throughout our week-long stay. Their good, positive mood rubbed off on the other guests, making for a really happy, friendly experience. The staff also responded brilliantly to the fact that our UK travel agent (Heidi - AVOID!) had mistakenly booked 4 of the 6 of us into a different hotel in a different town entirely. The Hotel Grand Pas team sorted it all out in a calm, solutions-focused way, making sure we were all accommodated under their roof, in spite of it being a busy week. They managed all the negotiations with the travel agent, meaning we could relax and get on with our holiday. We felt grateful to be in such good hands and would certainly recommend this hotel.

An unauthorised man was admitted into our room by a member of staff. They were drunk and aggressive and subsequently had to be removed by police. Management never apologised and are ignoring my emails. Completely unsatisfactory, dangerous and unprofessional. If you have a family I would be very conscious not to bring children into this environment.

This hotel is an absolute disgrace and by no means a 4 star property. The rooms are small, dirty, dark and dingy with no room to swing a cat, the ensuite is dirty and dated, it's hit and miss whether you get hot water. The noise from other rooms and outside is loud and clear as a bell. The dinning room would also benefit from a deep clean. Breakfast is good, evening meals are a let down - you won't starve if happy with mediocre cold food. The dinning room staff are exceptionally rude, angry and aggressive with exception to the cook on the grill whom is lovely and pleasant. The spa area isn't available until 4pm however its unhygienic with built up scum in the pool at water level, the pool is cloudy and cold, the jacuzzi is warm at best. Bar area is closed and in darkness until later in the afternoon, service is slow and doesn't come with a smile. The boot room/lockers are unheated and access to and from here to street is unsafe, walking up and down a car ramp which is extremely slippery in ski boots, it's tight for space and is blind to oncoming cars. Constant issues with the lifts and room card keys not working. This hotel has put a dampener on our holiday.
