We flew to Lido El Nido from Cebu in the early afternoon and got a tuk tuk into town. My travel companion had stayed at Bulul Gardens on a previous trip before the pandemic but he wasn't sure if they were still in operation. Luckily for us, we were greeted by the lovely Ms. Bella, who told us that they were making preparations to reopen in a few days but had a double room available which we were happy to share for the first night then additional things became available the following day. The air-conditioned room, although small was bright and clean with large glass sliding doors and tasteful decor which made it feel spacious and relaxing. The bathroom was very neat and clean and the hot water works brilliantly. Each of the 4 rooms opens to a small covered patio which is nice for morning coffee and has a drying rack for your wet swimwear. The grounds provides a small but cosy pool for chilling out and a cute cafe at front for great brewed coffee and both local and international cuisine prepared by Shaar and Ann who are very entertaining and hospitable. The most delightful feature of our stay was the kind and helpful presence of Ms. Bella, her daughters "Ice" and Tina who went the extra mile to help make our stay enjoyable and problem free. They helped us with many things including booking day trips, having rental scooters brought directly to us at the hotel, assisting with flight arrangements and even booking me a therapeutic masseuse when I accidentally twisted my ankle on a hike! We felt totally at home and were treated like family. I can't wait to go back again
