The first room we got the bathroom light went out at midnight, they switched us to a different room and in the next room the air wouldn't work. We were uncomfortable for 2 days due to maintenance issues.

Room was spacious enough and quiet. Kitchen was down for renovation so the hotel gave us grab and go sack breakfasts which was fine except the burrito we had been told was included was missing and the front desk lady was missing - at 7:30AM. And I was surprised by cigarette smell emenating from behind the front desk.

This hotel needs a lot of work. They should have explained that they were under renovation and that breakfast was grab and go…which was not worth getting. It had sat out so the items that should have been cold were not. Most of the staff were helpful. The room with three queen beds was a good idea if it had not flooded on our last night there, we had to change rooms. Maybe once it is renovated it will be better. It is in a great location for Spring Training baseball.

Maintenance was very poor. The door to 216 had to be tried 4 to 6 times before it would open. There was no cold water to be basin. The clock did not work. When the bathroom light would not work, I requested another room, 324, this was much better. When I turned on the AC, it sounded like rocks and water were rolling around in the ductwork. Too loud to sleep. There was no clock and the phone had no instructions about calling the desk. While the staff was friendly and helpful, they had little interest in getting the issues fixed.

Entry & front desk area appeared neglected, banged up and dirty floor. Laundry room had broken machines & messy. Bath water never got hot, only Luke warm, faucet handle slid off. Ceiling vent/filter was about to come down, suite area table was about to topple over, counter top near microwave was coming apart (total germ trap!). Older facilities are fine, but this was neglected.

The curtains were ripped, the lampshades bashed in, leaks in the bathrooms, no clean towels for an 8 day stay for 2 people, the lock was terrible and the door handle loose; this made the key card VERY DIFFICULT. We will NEVER be back. The staff was very friendly.

The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The breakfast option of a "to go" bag was disappointing, and actually wasteful because it had a number of items we did not eat. I'd suggest either a regular breakfast offering or no offering.
