Tao El Cotillo

Just returned from a very nice few days at this complex. Arrived at 1330 hours on a week day to find entrance door secure. ( which is good as it prevents unwanted visitor). There is a phone number provided to contact reception, who pass the door code to you. ( a problem if you do not use a mobile, rare I know) Once in, was greeted by a nice young lady who gave me the lock box number for my room B2. I must say on first impression I was a little disappointed on the approach it was tuck down between two staircases to the up stairs apartments. The seating area probably only get a max of 2 hours sun, but is sheltered from the wind and gives a narrowed view of the pool. The inside of the apartment was very spacious, with a double and a single bedroom. All very clean and tidy. Large storage wardrobe in the double, much bigger than I have a home. Kitchen area is equipped with a ceramic hob, over, microwave and washing machine. Enough utensils to use, although could do with some mugs, wine and large tumblers. No salt and pepper though. Bathroom is okay, Just a shower cubicle, but plenty of hot water. Towels were lovely and soft. The lounge/ diner had a four seater table and a sofa, big enough for 2 adults. There was a smart TV, showing Spanish only programmes, but with a faculty to change the language to the country of origin. Also was able to cast download programmes from my phone and watch the cricket from Youtube. The complex had a small pool and kiddie paddling area and plenty of sunbeds. Next to the complex is a decent supermarket. The complex in on the edge of town, but only a 10 minutes walk, also the same for the beach. I'm not into lively bars and shopping areas, so the resort suited me. Would I go back to the accommodation, yes, I would, but would try to secure an upper floor location.

We loved our stay here the only thing that let this down was the access on our arrival. We arrived after 10pm and on arrival the property was in darkness with contact details taped to the door we phoned the number but wouldn't go through as we didn't know the area code We had our 13 son with us which found this very upsetting.thankfully we was help by another guest. I think the door code should be emailed along with the apartment number and code to the key safe.it would be less frustrating to guests and a better experience and level of communication. Also add yhe area code in instead of +3 as not everyone would know it is 00.

We loved the apartment, the layout, the size of the bedrooms with amazingly big, spacious and great quality built in wardrobes and comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen and nice outdoor sitting area outside. No noise, we were lucky with our neighbours and felt quite secure within the complex. The swimming pool was a great bonus. Location is on the outskirts (next to a good supermarket) but as it is a pretty small town only a 10 minute walk to the centre. A full body mirror would be nice to have. Customer service was just ok, this place could be thriving if run better. Quite limited check in times and lack of communication prior to arrival. What about emailing the day before with the door code and apartment number? I would deffo stay again anyway.

Stayed at the Tao over Xmass 2023 nice location not far from the main beech & some local bars & restaurants the super market is nx door which was very convenient, the apartments were very clean we had a two bed with balcony two roof terraces & a ground floor terrace the apartments had a washing machine & a oven which was surprising overall the location was quite if want the busy location choose correljo which was only €6.30 return from the local bus station takes about hour to get there, the staff were friendly & helpful. The pool was cold but I can imagine it in the warmer months. The pool area could do with a little face lift but for the price it was great…. If you’re looking for a peaceful & value for money trip this is great.. Would I come here again yes…. The weather was nice a couple days overcast but warm one day it rained all day the other days were blazing hot well above 21 degrees. The seafood restaurant overlooking the harbour the food was very good with Fantastic views the service excellent would highly recommend just across from the restaurant are more bars & restaurants serving some cool cocktails & beers & food.. Overall I would highly recommend a visit…. Ketan
