Barceló Corralejo Sands

We stayed for a week in the middle of June perfect from start to finish, the staff are welcoming and friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. The food was great and has definitely improved since last year loads of choices for breakfast and evening meal and lunch at the pool bar on the À la carte menu, We cant wait to return again

There should only be all inclusive board basis which would allow a better overall service for guests.

On arrival at about 1:30 we told our room wasn’t ready . Fair enough check in is at 2pm so we went off for 90 mins and returned At 3 we’re told the room still wasn’t ready . By now we were tired after a 6am flight . The receptionist had said go for a drink I will call . He didn’t !! Eventually we got into the room the first few nights were great . Then for some reason they brought the entertainment to a bar right outside our room . Not even good to be honest either . We had chosen this hotel as we were told it was quiet. The food is samey every day the same stuff tasteless as we had decided to do half-board this time . I’m actually still out of pocket as we went out for dinner 4 nights out of the 7 . Won’t be returning. I also witnessed the life guard stopping people playing ball games in the pool . There are no signs to say this is prohibited and when the daytime entertainment team encourage ball games it seems a.bit odd xx

We stayed here for a week all inclusive and it was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had! The Hotel is spotless and very well maintained, the staff were lovely and really helpful. They engaged so much with our 18 month old - she loved it! It is a quieter place to stay so if you’re wanting loud entertainment and to play games in the main pool with inflatables it is probably best to book somewhere else. Would suit couples or those with young children (young enough to be in a pram - older children would probably get bored). There are two entertainment reps who were great - I did Pilates, my husband pétanque and our 18 month old the ‘colourful fish’ kids club - all of which we were the only ones there! The thermal circuits spa was very relaxing (a trip each included in our package) - again no one else there - most guests really do just want to lay quietly by the pool sunbathing. I also booked in for a massage and that was lovely too. Evening entertainment was an early baby disco which helped get the children’s energy out (there were probably about 8 families max), a quiz and then a singer or dancer later. All inclusive was great - you could serve yourself drinks at the pool bar or get cocktails (and more) made for you during the day. In the evening the entertainment bar was available for drink in or take back to your room. Lunch at the a la carte was great as well - a large menu with everything AI inc. apart from one gourmet burger which had a small extra charge of €4 - which we thought was reasonable. Breakfast was vast with the usual full English on offer, breads, pancakes/churros, any coffee or juice you could think of. Dinner was equally as good - always some staple foods out for those not wanting to venture and themed nights included tex mex, Italian, oriental and Mexican. AI snacks were pizza, sandwiches, cakes, chips, croquets, yoghurts, ice cream, fruit and crisps available pretty much all day at the pool bar.

Lovely hotel in central location , staff are very friendly and work tirelessly to make it a lovely place , rooms are modern and clean , pool ambience is a little quiet due to the average age of clients and closed at 6 pm and no loungers or balls allowed Evening entertainment was inside which was not as good as most people didn’t know how to find it so it was always pretty quiet , much better when it was outdoors at the pool area , we have stayed here numerous times and is best hotel in corralejo and returning in October

We returned to the hotel and the welcome was as warm and friendly as always by the Barceló team. Are requests were noted. A few problems sorted with no problems. Fantastic. The food has improved immensely and we were able to make good meals from what was on offer. As always all areas of the hotel are spotless, rooms, restaurants, pool area and theatre bar. We met many returning guests which was lovely. We felt completely relaxed and can’t wait to return again next year. However, these are just a few ideas for improvement. 1) the bedrooms could do with a few tweaks. There is a large mirror but it is not really accessible for getting ready as no power sockets close by ideally a mirror at the tea bar would be useful as close to sockets so would be easier to get ready at. 2) the rooms could do with some additional drawers as storage space very limited space for two people so not ideal if three in a room a good place to put this would be underneath part of the tea bar. 3) a wooden bath mat for when you get out the whirl pool bath as very slippery or a towling mat. These are just opinions how to make things even better. Stayed all inclusive, would highly recommend this hotel. Well done to all of the team for their hard work and making this an extra special holiday and look forward to seeing you again.

we went back january 2024 & again the place & staffs are wonderful.Only tip is careful with their catsup dispenser in the restaurant. it might splash all over you.Great place for seniors cause the place is close to everything.Perfumes & cigs are quite cheap.

Just returned from a week at the hotel! Cant fault the hotel , waiters & cleaner's. , every where was spotless & so helpful & friendly Just the ambience around the pool in the day. Omg it was so boring l! We chose the Sands as we thought it would have more to do as it was the “family” one than the Adults only. It wasn’t over busy but when we tried to play ball in the pool as a family we got the whistle blown at us and said No balls (even though the pool was empty as it was so cold) No inflatables either even though it’s posted on their recent fb post of people playing on them in the main pool. The same soundtrack on repeat everyday just boring acoustic covers!!! We did play a game of music bingo one day lead by the animation lady but apparently there were complaints as music too loud. Pool closed at 6pm when the sun finally came out!! We all got fed up with looking at each other! Such a shame as family holidays are extremely important to us & we work hard to save to spend on these! Dont think we’ll be recommending it to anyone who wants some fun !!
