We stayed here overnight. We arrived really late and they waited for us. It's like having a full house to yourself. There are two floors, kitchen area and restrooms. Bedrooms are on 2nd floor. They have heater on each floor. They had breakfast for us but forgot to plug it in. Its a comfortable stay. Parking outside the premise.

What an absolute pleasure to stay at Solares del sud. Bith Abril and Pedro were excellent hosts, helping with anything from arranging airport transfers to bus bookings and even salt and pepper when needed. The hotel is perfectly situated overlooking Lake Argentina. Highly reccomended. Our cottage was cosy, warm and comfortable with all the necessary amenities.

This property is 2 or 3 kms away from shops and restaurants in El Calafate so not convenient without a car or other transportation. We had a small suite, patio in front, kitchen on the main floor, bedroom upstairs not suitable if you have mobility problems. Our rate included breakfast, left in the unit the night before because we had an early departure. There is a small restaurant which we didn’t have time to try.

Very practical, nicely decorated (lots of wood, colors, local style) and very well-equipped facility. Very nice service. The facility is pet-friendly. The owners' cute cats were walking around the garden and looking into our house. It was cool! The bed mattresses and pillows were too hard and uncomfortable for us, but this is a subjective impression. Wifi practically did not work in the rooms despite a strong signal. The only place where you could use the Internet was the reception area with 2 chairs forthe guests. This is a very big minus of this place.

We chose this hotel based on the good review on TripAdvisor, but we are disappointed with the hotel. The front desk staff only speak Spanish. When we arrived, we asked them to call a taxi for us to go to the town for lunch. We waited for 45 minutes for the taxi. The hotel said they offer box lunch, but when asked for the box lunch for the next day, their kitchen was not open at all. The heater in one of the rooms does not work, and we had to sleep in the cold. There is no curtain for the door and window, so the late evening and early morning lights keep me awake. The breakfast is not good. Finally, when we left, we could not open the lobby door, and no one at the reception desk, we almost missed our taxi to the bus station. In the hindsight, I would not recommend travelers to stay here. You are better off to stay in downtown, as this location is a bit isolated and the service is not that good.

Cozy atmosphere, everything clean and tidy. They brought us breakfast every night for the next day, which was super plentiful. Melisa at the reception desk is a genius, super attentive, I had a problem with a wallet that I forgot in El Chaltén and she moved heaven and earth to get it brought to me. The location is also very good. Right next to the highway.

The place is very nice, surrounded by trees and plants. You feel in contact with nature. The cabins are a luxury. Super equipped with everything. And well heated for the Patagonian winters. The breakfast has different sweet things every day, exquisite!!! I would go back without hesitation. The service is excellent. You feel at home!

Excellent service, very friendly and correct, the only thing is that we arrived at a time when the rest of the restaurant was closed due to personal problems and we were unable to visit it. The breakfast is continental but it doesn't have any protein, for example, nor yogurt or fruit. Even so, everything was pretty good. The rest was impeccable.
