The hotel is modeled like typical mountain town chalets and comes with a charming ambiance and comfortable accommodations. The well-maintained gardens and panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes provided a serene environment for relaxation LOCATION:Situated on the edge of El Calafate, Hotel Sierra Nevada offers a peaceful retreat but at a bit of a distance from the town center. it's a short drive to natural attractions like the Perito Moreno Glacier. The surrounding area is picturesque, with views of the lake and mountains enhancing the appeal. DINE + DRINK: The hotel's restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring local and international cuisine. But i didnt have an opportunity to sample the food, so cannot comment. ROOM: We stayed in Room 109, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: View of the landscape from the sweet balcony attached to the room ; AIR-CON:No Air conditioner, but the room got cool enough in the night;; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a BATH TUB shower; TOILETRIES: Very basic toiletries, bring your own FACILITIES: Very random room fitted with some dated weights that was labelled as a “Gym”! Nothing more and no pool on site. SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs but could certainly do a better job in being more warm and greet guests with broader smiles! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Small Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment - primarily in Spanish!

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Sierra Nevada! The hotel is charming, with clean and cozy rooms, and it’s conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. During our three-day stay, they took care of all our excursions and airport transportation, making our trip stress-free. Thanks to them, we experienced the walkways at Perito Moreno Glacier, hiked in El Chaltén, and enjoyed a breathtaking boat ride through the Glaciers. They even went the extra mile by packing us a lunch for one of our excursions—a thoughtful touch we really appreciated. Breakfast is included and features a delightful variety of pastries, fresh juices, and delicious coffee—a great way to start the day! Despite the budget-friendly pricing, the service and hospitality feel like 5-star treatment. If you’re visiting El Calafate, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Sierra Nevada. It’s a gem!

Cheap and cheerful hotel with polite and helpful staff. Good value and location. There are quite a few steps to the rooms. Breakfast was OK. Second floor room has a nice view. Square windows cause some wind noise. Easy to walk to local amenities.

The hotel was clean and warm. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is very basic and the coffee was not very nice. The staff were friendly. The chairs in the room need cushions on them and more plug sockets/usb charge points needed. The bed spread had a cigarette burn in and needs replacing. Located towards the end of the Main Street through the town. Loads of bar and restaurants nearby.

This is my second time staying here. The hotel is very clean and the staff is super helpful and welcoming. They were great with helping us plan our excursions. We ordered packed lunches from the restaurant and they were ready for us to take on our early morning excursions, which was great. We enjoyed a delicious milanesa sandwich on the glacier! We also kicked off every day with a great free breakfast downstairs. It's on the main road and only a few blocks away from all the main shops and restaurants. The area is very walkable. I would definitely recommend to someone!

Great location, beautiful surroundings…safe, pedestrian neighbourhood, close to shops & restaurants… Small single beds (not even twin)…clean room & bathroom…rough towels… Measly breakfast…canned fruit salad, no eggs, just bread, ham & cheese… Adequate accommodations…
