The hotel has modern facilities in an old building on the outskirts of El Barco de Ávila. The staff is very nice and attentive. The room, modern and with all kinds of amenities, was very clean. The bed, extra large and comfortable, flat screen television, good air conditioning, minibar, excellent views of the Sierra de Gredos and a very complete bathroom with a hydromassage bathtub... Estuvimos alojados en la suite 1001, la limpieza inmejorable así como el personal de recepción, muy amables y serviciales. Desayuno muy variado, aunque la cena podría mejorarse, quizá otra opción para cenar sea mejor que el restaurante.
Alojamiento totalmente recomendable para pasar un fin de semana de relax, y si es en la suite con hidromasaje, mucho mejor.

A decent hotel although I wouldn't say four stars. It is divided into several buildings and in some of them there is no elevator, to access the cafeteria or dining room you have to go outside and in Ávila and in winter it is not the most comfortable. The rooms are large, very comfortable and with lots of light. The exquisite service. It is more than half an hour from the ship and the path is neither comfortable nor possible at night, there is no lighting to the town, there are streetlights but they do not work, it would be a detail for the hotel to take this into account.

After deciding on the hotel and seeing some comments...I was honestly a little suspicious, a pleasant surprise to see that my suspicion was wrong, the attention at reception was SPLENDID (look how annoying I was), the living room was beautiful, the dining room was perfect, we booked half board and quality/price was very good (they also have a menu for those who don't want menu options) a hotel that both in terms of treatment, facilities, etc. is 10, I don't know if the complaints I read were from people who are usually Accustomed to hotels in Abu Dhabi... A truly beautiful location and the buildings and grounds are very well maintained. Just a warning: there is NOTHING nearby, so bring snacks, etc. The room was wonderful, clean and very well equipped. The only disappointing experience was our dinner which was unfortunate at best. The local beans tasted like they came straight from a can and weren't even heated enough. A sirloin steak that was so tough I couldn't eat more than half of it, as long as it was cooked in the correct quantity, the meat itself was of a quality that should be avoided. A dessert of toasted puff pastry with apples and ice cream: the ice cream was edible, unfortunately I had to leave the rest too dry and unappetizing. Very friendly people at the reception and they were wonderful to deal with on the phone before our arrival. Aside from the dining experience, it was a great location.
