fantastic situation high above the old city centre, splendid view to the Wartburg, still only a 30' walk to the Wartburg or to the Markt or Bachhaus. Generous rooms, very friendly people, very good breakfast with all options, kitchen is very good, too.

Staff not flexible enough to check in an hour early. However, the hotel was not at full capacity. Unfortunately, there was no mini fridge in the room. At 30 degrees Celsius, unfortunately no air conditioning (ok) but at least you can expect a fan. In the evening, you go to bed at 10 o'clock - at least if you have to follow the staff on the terrace. (You are called to the check-in bar. Like in the GDR times.)

We booked the hotel using a hotel voucher. It was supposed to be bookable all year round, but in reality it is only bookable from November to the end of April. This is not acceptable! If that is the case, it should be communicated realistically in advance. Because of construction work, the route to the hotel was very adventurous, also thanks to the poor road conditions. But that is not the hotel's fault. The hotel is in a good location, about a half hour's walk to Wartburg. Our room was small but with a view of the Wartburg. The room had also been newly renovated. The bathroom is small but OK. The refrigerator was no longer there; it had obviously been removed - probably for energy reasons. The staff at the reception are stressed and annoyed, as a guest you feel like a nuisance. On the other hand, the service at the breakfast buffet was very friendly. At breakfast, everything you would normally expect was there.

For the seventh time, I have attended a conference in this quaint hotel. Nothing has really changed since last year. Friendly staff, nice rooms and a great location. Unfortunately, room service was only available on request, which is unfortunately not possible in a hotel of this size. Probably due to a lack of staff. Nevertheless, I would recommend it.

The reception was very friendly and helpful. You can also charge your electric car for free with 220V. The rooms are nice, the location right next to the Wartburg is very picturesque. The initially positive impression is severely marred by the completely unprofessional staff of the restaurant from Pakistan and Afghanistan. Despite having made a reservation, they did not prepare a table for us, and after ordering the food, the waiters forgot our order. After 30 minutes, one of the waiters came and said that the dish we had ordered was no longer available.

Mooi gelegen, ietwat verouderd hotel. Mooie ruime kamet, zeer rustig, maar piepkleine, wat muf ruikende badkamer en geen koelkast in de kamer. Het hotel ligt mooi bovenop de berg, maar ver van het centrum, 1 Km bergaf en daarna weer bergop 😫 Ontbijt ok, wel veel voorverpakte dingen (choco, jam, ...), lekkere koffie uit automaat.
