The cabins are lovely and in a peaceful setting. To improve a tv could be included. There are a lot of flies in summer so sitting on the porch is not possible

The first thing that comes to mind: silence and peace! It was the most peaceful surrounding we ever had on a stay in this beautiful country. It was VERY enjoyable for us and we did not even notice other guests. A good spot to start our tours and trips in the area - always comming back to a really calm and clean place. Loved it and would love to go there again!

This cabin exceeded our expectations. We have been in Iceland for 10 days and it is the nicest and best value place we have stayed. It is well equipped with microwave, bar size fridge, hot plates and all cooking utensils including crockery and cutlery. Lovely hot showers and warm duvets. Got a chance to walk along the river and pick wild blueberries. Bring a head net as lots of midgies. Only negative is the distance expected to be 11km from turn off from road 854 but it is actually closer to 14km and we started looking for the cabin after 11km and wondered if we were lost.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying the past two nights at Laxardalur Cabin and it was phenomenal! The drive in is about 11km of well marked gravel road full of twists and turns and sheep. It made for an exciting entrance as you didn’t know who or what you would see! When we arrived, we were amazed by the beauty of the surroundings both outside and inside the cabin. To say this is a luxury cabin is an understatement. It is meticulously maintained and well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. You can tell there has been a lot of thought and planning into creating a space for guests to truly enjoy. I would highly recommend this cabin. The location was perfect for visiting both Husavik and Myvatn, and from our drive out today, I would say Akureyri too. Thank you to the lovely owners for a wonderful stay!!

Excelente período no Norte da Islândia durante minha volta na ilha em sentido anti horário. No período dessa estadia foi possível conhecer incríveis atrações turísticas naquela região. São 4 cabines independentes e isoladas, com fácil estacionamento, num belíssimo vale com fazendas. Há um trecho curto de cascalho mas em bom estado acessível com qualquer tipo de carro no outono. É possível da cabine avistar aurora boreal se tiver sorte de acontecer. Parece como um quarto de um flat. Tem uma cozinha privativa bem equipada com utensílios, forno/microondas, frigobar e tudo necessário para preparar suas próprias refeições ou um café da manhã. Deve se lembrar que está distante de alguma cidade e portanto precisa levar os alimentos antecipadamente. Isso não atrapalha em nada por que durante o passeio costuma sair cedo e voltar no fim do dia, geralmente não fica voltando toda hora entre um passeio e outro na cabine. O quarto é amplo com poltronas, mesa, cadeira, confortável cama e amenidades. Excelente ducha com tempo de aquecimento da água suficiente para um ótimo banho em banheiro privativo. Há uma pequena cachoeira atrás das cabines e fácil comunicação com o anfitrião caso necessário.
