It's a little far from the national park kruger gate to the hotel, about 60km! But it's about 25km to the numbi gate, not too fast. The hotel did not say, the environment is very good, with characteristics, is the facilities are slightly older, but very clean. protea hotel South Africa's old brand, which was later acquired by Marriott. As for whether there is a brand called Marriott, it doesn't matter and has not changed much. High cost performance and reasonable price are the key. Compared to those thousands of lodges near the national park, this place is definitely a quality of conscience! Don't worry about the environment, it's very good. Don't worry about the noise. very quiet. There is a lawn in front of the door and a swimming pool. In short, I would rather run dozens of kilometers more and come to live! Sleeping better than anything
Nkambeni Safari Camp
4.1/545 Reviews
I stayed 2 nights at Nkambeni Safari Camp as part of a travel group together with my mum. At arrival we were told to put stickers with the room number on the luggage for delivery. It took extremely long for the luggage to arrive (45min) albeit our room was next to the parking lot. I saw the car including the luggage and 2 guys approaching. I was watching them because I was waiting for it. I saw one guy closing my zip of my suitcase and I got concerned, because I closed my zip (but I did not lock it, my fault). When opening my suitcase the zipped mesh divider inside my suitcase was open (I close it every time). Nothing was missing except a bag with Christmas cookies which was inside my mums suitcase. The next day before leaving for the game drive I closed all the zip’s (inside and outside) and on top I locked my suitcase. When coming back surprisingly I was not able to open my suitcase with my code anymore. I was seeing the front desk, they called the cleaning lady and some manager, telling me that no staff member touched my suitcase. The manager let someone opening up my suitcase by breaking the zip (see picture). And inside the suitcase it was the same situation, the mesh divider inside was open (as I said, I close it every time). I am not accusing the cleaning lady. The room is accessible all the time, the door to the outdoor shower was broken and not lockable anymore plus the staff knew the travel group is on the game drive the whole day! Therefore some staff member went into my room, opened my suitcase with a TSA key or some related tool (somehow the code changed then) and searched trough my stuff. Another bag of German sweets (chocolate almonds) which we put in the shelf „disappeared“. Nothing from my suitcase is missing, not sure what this person was looking for (more food?!). I have left Nkambeni Safari Camp with an unsafe feeling, knowing there work people who are stealing, overstepping boundaries by opening my locked suitcase and the manager was not helpful at all. No compensation or whatsoever was offered to me but obviously I will have to repair the suitcase / replace it. My stay there became a very bad experience, I would never come back and I cannot recommend staying there.
Autumn Breeze Manor Guest House

We had the most beautiful time at Autumn Breeze. The place was clean and comfortable. Very conveniently situated and all the attractions in close proximity. Will definitely book again. I spent my birthday at the place and was pleasantly surprised by the manager, the gentleman politely assisted my daughter to set up the surprise. He even had music plating a birthday banner and balloons. All to make my day special. He did an amazing job. Thank you very much

The Rand Lodge

the service is good only if you could review your transportatation service or could at least try to arrange maxi taxis or any form of transportation for your solo guest or those who travel in public transport to take them to the nearest town or rank
Havana Nights
4.4/56 Reviews
We stayed there for two nights and it was a perfect location to explore the region. Our host was welcoming and gave us plenty of informations about what to see, where to eat, etc. Our bungalow had two bedrooms, one separated from the lounge/kitchen and the other in that main living space. If it’s only the two of you, I would recommend to use the upper bedroom to avoid to sleep in cooking smells... The bed was very comfortable, good hard mattress. We had a little terrace outside but not of great use because it was just overlooking the car park. As for the cooking equipment, it was all right. A bit like most of the self catering places, it’s always a bit dated and eclectic. A good non stick frying pan would be a must. Otherwise, we had a great stay.
