All the meals were TERRIBLE. We did a guided drive of 2000 ZAR for two of us was badly done- guide kept stalling the car and didn’t speak English well. Location is okay, nice views of river and hippos. Very basic in many ways.

What a lovely experience - affordable accommodation with comfortable rooms, great staff and peaceful setting. Meals were simple but excellent quality. Great to have a pool on site. I did the full day safari with the lodge guide Casca and we saw lots of wildlife.

This lodge which is literally just a river away from Kruger gives you the chance to just relax in a beautiful surrounding and (with a bit of luck) watching hippos and elephants while sitting in the pool. The great staff is always there to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Safari tours start right from the lodge and brings you in a few minutes into the amazing national park.

Beautiful accommodation along the Sabie river with a pool looking out on the river. The rooms are great and all you need for a few nights. Food was really good and the staff are great. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Kruger.

The lodge was great, in a good location, and the staff was very helpful, but when it comes to booking safari drives, beware of a MASSIVE OVERCHARGE (more than double). We booked both a sunset safari and a full day with the lodge. When we arrived we were told that the sunset safari would be run by the park and we needed to drive to the gate and meet our guide there. The park's sunset safari is one of the cheapest ones (523R / person) and it doesn't include some of the perks of the other options, like sunset wine. We were shocked that the lodge charged us more than double for booking the sunset safari (1,050R/person) and even more shocked that Candice, the lodge's manager, tried to excuse it by "we have to send people to book for you and it's time that they are not working" when you can book it easily on the park's website. Check your prices and don't trust the lodge to be fair and honest. If it wasn't for the dishonesty and greed, we would've given them a much higher rating.

Great location, lovely accommodation & epic game drives. We were thoroughly well looked after by Lion on each of our trips and saw the big 5. Eating dinner watching elephants in the river is something we won't forget in a hurry! Thank you

We had a wonderful stay at this lodge. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and we were well taken care of every day. The tent we slept in was cleaned daily, and the shower and toilet were very clean. We were even greeted by no less than 8 elephants in front of the lodge. This was truly the highlight of our holiday. The elephants were so close! The staff is so friendly, the breakfast is good, and the dinner tasted delicious. We want to come back in the future!!
