The Last Word Kitara

This lodge is truly spectacular with unbelievable views , comfortable rooms and amazing food . The staff were all extremely friendly and service oriented . The guides were knowledgeable and we had some good isolated viewings although the density of wildlife is not that high .

If I could give The Last Word Kitara 6 stars, I would. Beautiful area, incredible private lodge, exclusive game drives, top notch service and an all-round super special experience. Their attention to detail is exceptional and we were spoilt to the T. They love special occasions and go above and beyond to celebrate. Highly recommend!

This resort was beautiful, service and care to detail was amazing. The staff catered to each individual. The safari rides were with very knowledgeable and dedicated guides and trackers. They have to continual do this for a living but they appreciate how excited that it is for their guests and show the same enthusiasm for the rides. The food was delicious and we tried so many things that we never had in our lives which was a lot of fun. I would go back there again. A special shout out for giving us such a wonderful experience to Susan, Pierre, Joni, Connor, Rejane, the chef, waitresses and housing staff! You guys are wonderful!

We just left an unexpected and awesome four day adventure at The Last Word Kitara. We had planned on another resort but Audley, our travel agency, recommended this one. From our greeting to our departure, the welcoming and friendly staff was amazing. This is a very small resort, six guest rooms, which led to unexpected pleasant interactions with guests and staff. Our guide, Pierre, was fun, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs as well as focused on conservation. We found lions, hippopotamus, leopards, giraffes, impalas and more completely fulfilling our ambitions. The food and drink more than exceeded expectations with nightly options including ostrich and kudu all expertly prepared.

Wow, Wow and Wow. We had the best time in Kitara, we really couldn't find any faults. The welcome was warm and genuine, The Lodge was beautiful and well equipped. We had a full length mirror in the shower which whilst away from prying eyes gave us a fabulous view of the river and the Elephants walking along the bank! The food was faultless, but by far the best of Kitara are the people who run it. We had Pierre as our ranger who was warm and funny very knowledgeable and determined if he had anything to do with it we would see a Leopard. Our prayers were answered when we got to see not just a fleeting glimpse of one, but one calmly lying in a tree posing for Photos. We were lucky to see all the big 5 and more Our only complaint was that we didn't stay longer, if you are still thinking about it don't, book it, you cannot fail to be impressed by the setting, the welcome and the people and of course the animals.

We were impressed by the luxurious accommodations and exceptional service. The lodge’s intimate setting, with only six suites overlooking the Klaserie River, provided a serene and exclusive safari experience. The suites were spacious and elegantly furnished, featuring en-suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers. The private balconies offered breathtaking views of the river, where we could observe wildlife passing by. The infinity pool and viewing deck were perfect spots for relaxation and elephant spotting. Game drives with Connor and Patric were amazing! We learned so much! Felt so secure with both of them and enjoyed it to the fullest! Their keen eyes and deep understanding of the bush ensured that we had remarkable wildlife sightings, including the Big Five. The breakfast, lunch, snack and dining experiences were exceptional and the chefs created us a memorable dishes and experiences. Everyone working at Kitara made our stay just perfect. Overall, The Last Word Kitara exceeded our expectations, offering a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic safari adventures. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone seeking an intimate and unforgettable experience in the Greater Kruger area.
