Our family was lucky enough to spend 4 way to short days at Kambaku earlier in July. When we arrived the staff greeting was awesome. Savannah was so nice, helpful, informative and great. Aiden our guide and Moses our tracker were incredible. Being able to comple the big 5 within first hour of second drive was awesome. We never needed binoculars as Aiden and Moses got us close but always with safety of the animals and vehicles occupants being paramount. We saw more animals and dazzles/herds/prides/families /groups than we had hoped/planned/wished for. The accomodations at the lodge were great. From claw foot tubs to powerful fans to super comfy beds the room was all we could have wanted. Staff works very hard and I think ona rotation schedule an das such we were lucky to meet Sharon our 2nd or 3rd day. She like Savannah was such a pleasure to speak with a d learn from. The food was so fresh and delicious. Kitchen and room staff while behind the scenes mostly makes there influence know in their expert services. Room had turn down services during after noon game drives and cleaning during morning drives. Never saw them come or go but the staff was always working. They are a family (the staff)and they welcome you and treat you like family when there. Back less than a week and wonder if it's too soon to go bak to see our new family.

I highly recommend staying at Kambaku Safari Lodge if coming to South Africa. The staff treats you like family and the entire lodge is safe, clean, amazing food and I would go back again. Thanks to all for a trip of a lifetime. Besides the lodge, the safari excursions were awesome as well. I got to see the Big 5 plus so much more!!!!

Unbelievable experience. Never realised it would be possible to get so close to see the Big 5. Gideon and Eric, our ranger and tracker, were superb and a pleasure to spend time with talking about the animals in their environment. The lodge itself was amazing and the food was sublime. Great hospitality by Sharon and Savanna. It was a special birthday celebration for my wife and the staff organised a romantic evening for us both and her a delicious cake. It was a simply brilliant experience from start to finish .

A must for everyone. What an experience. Great place, great people. Felt at one with nature. The lodge has a rustic charm about it that gives you a connected feeling to the animals. The food was great, and a well stocked bar. Saw the big 5 in the first 2 game drives, even saw a pangolin. Words cannot describe how is feels to have a big pride of lions walk around the jeep, close enough to stroke, but not recommended!!! To see a herd of elephants drink at the watering hole, then all slowly walk past you on there way to graze, incredible. To see a leopard is rare, to find 4, 1 of which had a cub with her, very special.

Kambaku lodge was an amazing experience! I have been on a couple of safaris and this ranks up there at the top of my list. The accommodations were perfect, comfortable, clean and upscale. The food was fresh and delicious, and they catered to our unique food requests. But most importantly, the staff was superb – friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, warm – everything you want your hosts to be. They made us comfortable from the start. And our drives were so much fun! Our guide Jaryd and tracker Stanley were so knowledgeable and fun to be with. We saw all of the Big 5 and a whole lot more! Huge Thank you to everyone. I hope that I have the opportunity to return for another visit!

I cannot recommend this lodge highly enough! This was our first ever safari and we struck gold - there are so many choices out there. The lodge was so relaxing, peaceful and clean, the rooms were so comfortable. The staff were amazing, they really looked after us, nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent, freshly cooked and something for everyone. The game drives were superb, we saw 4 out of the big 5 on our very first drive! Our guide Aidan and tracker Moses were such fun to be with and their skills and knowledge of the flora and fauna were first class. We saw so much wildlife up close, it was such a privilege to see the Big 5 as well as hyena, wild dogs, giraffe, zebra, kudu, antelope and wildebeest where they should be, free in the wild. A big thank you to all the team - Sharon, Savannah and Goodness - you all made us feel so welcome. We really hope to return some time in the future. Thank you Kambaku Safari Lodge, you made a trip of a lifetime so so special. The Gardner family x

Exceptional service, with a smile all the time. Our Guide (Jaryd) and Tracker (Stanley) were very knowledgeable about the wildlife. They go out of there way to make your stay comfortable. Every morning they make you coffee in the bush, and in the evenings you get a sundowner in the bush during your game drive. A scrumptious breakfast is served after the game drive, and local inspired dinners after your game drive in the evenings. Each time they set the tables in surprise locations around the camp, either around a boma or next to a watering hole. Without a doubt my best holiday and experience, highly recommend Kambaku for a real wilderness treat which will stimulate all your senses.
