I stayed at this hotel to spend one luxurious night in Vanuatu. I was traveling alone, but the hotel staff were very friendly and I had a good time in Vanuatu. I would like to stay here again if I come to Vanuatu.

This property no longer looks like what it does in the photos provided. We booked this hotel as it states all rooms have air condition, free wifi, full kitchen and breakfast.... We checked in and none of this was correct. The place is run down, almost looks like it has been abandoned - after we checked in, I tried to ask for room with AC as my friend suffers from a sleep condition so AC is required, we were then advised we need to pay extra $40 USD for rooms with AC. We were then advised that the kitchen is closed and that we have to be taken to town (we had to pay the driver $20) to drive us 5 mins down the road. Luckily we came across another resort behind the 3 Pigs restaurant called NASAMA RESORT - not only are they cheaper, they have all the amenities, amazing pool, secluded beach and their breakfast is amazing.... Stay there instead!

Waited 5 hours at the bar because the manager (apparently the only person who could check us in) was not there. Wifi did not work. When the manager did finally arrive he stopped to have lunch before checking us in. When we finally got our room we were told there was no hot water but could check in anyway. Once inside the dilapidated room we were disappointing to say the least, dirty, old, worn down, smelly, disgusting bathroom, toilet wasnt even attached to the floor.. By this stage we had missed an important appointment and were fed up so politely asked for change of rooms or a refund. No rooms so agreed to a refund and off we left to Warwick Le Lagoon which was the complete opposite experience. I never received the refund and was in email disagreement with the owners for months. Finally my bank did a charge back. Horrible service, they just do not care. Its a 2 star hotel, nothing like the pictures.

A nice resort but a bit far from the city. It is well worth getting the villas in the front of the beach - they have air conditioning and the wifi is actually present (my initial room 14 didn’t have either). It was an extra US$40 per day for villa number 2. The service was good. A shout out to the manager, Hairam, who arranged for a taxi quickly when my organized airport transfer failed to show up. The Tusker lemon was a good drink for the sultry weather. The next door hotel at Paradise Cove restaurant is a bit fancier but worth at least one meal. The breakfast and meals were pretty decent. The rum flambé was excellent.

Coco Beach resort has the best sandy beach area on the Pango side of Port Vila. The island staff that work there are great. Rooms are okay although the mosquito net canopy blocks the cooling effect of the ceiling fan and air conditioning to some extent. General maintenance has been let go as the Resort has just been sold. Food servings are large but of average quality and pricey for what is provided. Our big issue was the lack of preparedness of the resort for a natural disaster, which is a common occurrence in Vanuatu. There was no working generator available so that meant no internet connection to contact family back in Australia. It also meant the kitchen fridge and freezers were without power and the food was lost. There was also the issue of being told to evacuate to higher ground due to the tsunami warning following the 7.3 earthquake but the resort does not have a vehicle. It was left to 2 staff members to walk to the main road and find an already full van to come and pick us up, along with the 2 staff who insisted on staying with us till the evacuation order ended at 5pm. All the resorts nearby had generators and a vehicle. The Resort now has a new owner who has big plans so the future is looking better for the Resort.

This small resort is situated in a quiet part of the beach overlooking towards Miele and with good sunsets. It is off the beaten track and quite a walk from the bus route but there are plenty of private taxis to call on for the 15 min journey to town. (Except on Sundays and cruise ship days). It is worth upgrading to one of the Beach facing villas which also have air conditioning. Snorkelling is excellent and there is a swimming pool also. We found the chalets very comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful, prices reasonable with a two hour Happy Hour. Alternative restaurants are easy walks at resorts either side of Coco Beach. Not everything on the menu was available - but the island as a whole suffered from shortages.

I did not stay at the resort so can not review that but we ate dinner at the restaurant. My suggestion is to go some where else! There are plenty of great restaurants in Port Vila. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. The service was great, the tables are out on the water in a beautiful spot but the food was terrible. The menu was limited to start with and they had run out of 90% of it. The food tasted like it was caked in chemicals e.g. like chicken salt on the chips. The rest of the meal was so salty we could not finish it. The sauce on the dried out fish tasted like it was out of a bottle or jar. The salad was fresh and tasty but that was it. Very disappointing.
