Hotels in New Town, Edinburgh

It was decent, but the hotel was quite expensive – almost as much as places we stayed at in Southern France. They also didn't provide disposable slippers, and it was undergoing renovation, which made the experience less than ideal.

Fantastic location and very helpful and friendly staff. Room exceeded expectations with great views. Was a bit noisy at times but to be expected and did not detract from our stay. More places to sit / wait around reception would be helpful as we were unsure if we could use the restaurant / breakfast area but this was our only issue. Helpful and efficient breakfast service which we enjoyed. Thank you!

The apartment was in a great location, just a 5 minute walk to Princes Street and a little further up the hill to the castle. We had a one bedroom apartment, was great to have the extra space. Unfortunately we were in the basement so had no natural light and had to keep lights on all the time. Due to the age of the building and being at the bottom the pump for the water was a bit unreliable and almost flooded the bathroom by not draining the water. We were woken up at 3am by the pump going every 34 seconds for over an hour (we timed it). Having a large fridge and microwave was handy and had we been staying longer could have made use of the washer and dryer. Overall we would stay again, but only if we were above ground.

Although it takes a short alley to go to the apartment, it takes several fire doors to go to the room, but the room is large in size, the facilities are very new, clean and quiet. Cooking by yourself is in good condition and suitable for a few more days. There are several coffee shops on the street outside the apartment with bread. There is also a fish shop across the road from the alley, and there is a supermarket not far from it. You can also take a tram when you go out, and the experience is very good.

The location is very good, it is convenient to go anywhere, the room is not big, the king bed is given two single beds, not very comfortable, others are good, there are two big supermarkets downstairs, convenient for shopping

Our trip to Edinburgh was very nice the room was massive never seen a room so big and it had a full size bath and had everything you needed no complaints they don't serve food and breakfast was served in a little cafe down the street and was very tasty we were there for the xmas markets wich I wasn't impressed with its all about the food now and no little trinket stores but the hotel was very good the beds were comfortable it was lovely and warm great location for everything lovely little place across from the hotel Rosa's Thai very good food in there and excellent service couldn't of wished for better

The room was so cozy and lovely🥰 was amazed by how kitchen was fully equipped! Really appreciated that they even provided us with welcome champagne 💛 Just only that, it would have been perfect if there were a ventilator in the bathroom. It was difficult to use for 3 days because the moisture and smell were not removed. Also, the room was never cleaned even though we stayed for 3 nights in a row. . Lastly, we were expecting to see gym in the hotel according to the website/app, but somehow gym was not there. Even though it is a mistake made from the website, the hotel still should make proper apologies to customer for misleading. The lady working from night~midnight(maybe overnight) didn’t make any apologies but kept saying it’s just not there as if we had made a mistake.

It was my first time in a hostel and I had a comfortable stay. Bed was comfortable, place was clean, location was very central, I managed to walk to all tourist spots, location was very convenient as well for all your needs as its close to all restaurants, pubs , retail stores and stations. I had 3 amazing room mates, who were so mindful about the noise when I'm around esp sleeping. I think the only downside was as an asian, there was no bidet and lift (which was expected cos UK dont do bidet and the bldg was konda old so no stairs) and the mixed gender toilet/bath. But over all It was a great stay, staff were accomodating and nice. I left my perfume tho, hopefully the girls got it. Wont mind as they were super nice.

The room is small and small, and the toilet has to be handled manually before it is used up, otherwise the water will not stop. The clerk was too warm and lovely, and the directions and recommended spots were very warm. Tea is good, breakfast is delicious
