Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood

Edinburgh Old Town
We walked in with normal legs and feet, but the front desk staff arranged a disabled room without saying anything, and it was a connecting room. We went downstairs to ask for a change of room, and the front desk staff arrogantly said that all the double rooms in the hotel were disabled rooms, and insisted that I had booked a disabled room. We asked the front desk to bring the record in their system that showed that the disabled room was booked, but they refused to give it to us. In the end, we changed to a normal room (so it was not because the hotel had no rooms). When checking out the next day, another front desk staff said that the hotel only had 4 disabled rooms in total, and it was impossible that all double rooms were disabled rooms. It turned out that the front desk staff lied the night before. When the hotel had normal rooms, they changed the normal rooms booked by customers who did not need special support to disabled rooms without asking in advance, and they wanted to deceive customers. I couldn't believe that I was staying at Marriott.

Google Maps brought us to wrong place. Be careful! Hotel is good location. Much bigger than what it looks from outside. Parking is limited and requires extra payment. We could not parked onsite and was directed to park at another nearby APEX hotel. We love the rubber ducky!
Residence Inn by Marriott Edinburgh

Hostel location is nice near university of edinburgh. Breakfast menu is nice although its the same everyday even the options of fruits and crossiant fillings. Its freshly made everyday . Service is nice at ground level is really nice Pro: location, hotel staff , laundry and dry cleaning service on first come self serve basis. Rooms have AC , Table fans, iron kit , mircrowave and fridge. Con: Room service needs improvement. They have given it to 3rd party so have fixed timing and clean rooms faster and can be some times undone partially! I would recommend to stay here for 3-4 days or untill you are not bored of eating same breakfast :) Reception is available 24/7 which is nice. Nearest bus stop at forrest road.

Malmaison Edinburgh

This hotel is historic and grand, I highly recommend it. Was once the Harbor Master's house for the port of Leith and it truly holds all of the charm of a historic building, but with many cool upgrades! The area is really charming, just off the water and a fairly quick bus ride to all the downtown sites. Every single member of the staff from the restaurant, to housekeeping to the front desk really went out of their way to be kind, helpful and attentive. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and they truly made my visit to Edinburgh all the more. I highly recommend The Malmaison. Thank you so very much for an excellent stay.

New Town
The arranged room is on the 5th floor. The elevator can only go to the 4th floor, so you need to carry your suitcase and take the stairs to the 5th floor. This is a bit of a pity. Everything else is very good. It is just opposite the Waverley Railway Station and is close to Lisigo. The monument is very close and the view from the breakfast restaurant is very good.
