It was very easy to find the Hotel, by bus, from the centre of Edinburgh.
All the staff were very friendly and professional. When I told them that we’d been cold the previous night, they brought a heater up to our room.
Excellent breakfast ( including vegetarian sausages when I asked if they had any ). There was also a gluten free trolley.

I think the hotel location is very good, almost touching the royal mile with just few meters away. This hotel is suitable for solo or business travelers as this is an express hotel. The room we got was very small in size 19m2 not suitable for family with a kid. There was no refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was very ordinary with very few options so, I will not suggest to take breakfast at this hotel, in fact people can scout on royal mile for a decent restaurant.
Overall, 1 or 2 days should be ok without much hassle but if you are planning to spend some more time then I will not suggest for this hotel. Staff was always helpful and they do the best to guide you for things.

Rediculous. Due to the storm Eowyn, we had to book another day, and the clerk said that we needn't check out as long as we inform the reception. However, when we informed the reception after booking, there was an another said: you need to check out before 11:00am and check in again at 3:00pm, it is the policy..

We think you will agree that our location is perfect, but we all know it is what is on the inside that really counts. Our welcoming bar is stocked with a great selection of Scottish beers and spirits, our fiber Wi-Fi is free and speedy, and we have a beautiful outdoor courtyard for relaxing with a tipple - when the inclement Scottish weather behaves itself. And with a room upgrade option available, you will certainly enjoy plenty for your money at ibis Edinburgh Centre South Bridge.
GGuest User2024.10.28
The overall performance of the hotel is a bit over the average level. The most satisfactory point of it is the location. It is very convenient for the guests to wander about the old castle area. They can go to the sightseeing attraction and to the tourist information centre easily. There are also different kinds of restaurants. So people have wider choices to choose their meals.

Had a pleasant stay and was able to check in early for a small fee.
Room was adequate and clean perfect for a overnight stay.
Breakfast could do slightly better, had the essentials like cereal and breads but no eggs and limited salad bar.
Definitely worthwhile if your trip is short and sweet.

The hotel has a great location. We took the tram from the airport, and the hotel was right across the station when we got off—super convenient.
The room was clean and decently sized, though the double bed was a bit small. But since we were out early and back late every day, exploring Edinburgh's cobbled streets on foot, the bed size didn’t affect our sleep at all...
The breakfast was fantastic—a full English spread with coffee, milk, scrambled eggs, sausages, croissants, you name it... The self-service coffee machine in the lobby was also excellent. Coming back to a cup of hot chocolate to warm up was the perfect way to unwind after a long day.
We’d definitely recommend this place to friends, and the higher floors offer great views too!

GGuest UserThis hotel is a short walk to and from from the airport. The staff were always polite and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The lifts were a bit slow, but you could use the stairs. The lounge is huge and the breakfast included vegan options. I only wish there had been a fridge in the room.

YYunduanderizi21A very traditional, elegant, ancient and solemn hotel, the overall feeling is very good!
The location is very convenient. After exiting the Waverley train station, you can reach the hotel in less than 5 minutes on foot. The entrance is very eye-catching. It's just a big uphill walk, and it will be a bit strenuous if you push a large piece of luggage. It only takes 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to the castle.
The hotel lobby is very traditional, and the characteristic bonfire hall seems to have entered Santa Claus's home. The lady at the front desk is very enthusiastic and introduced the various facilities in the room in detail. Because Scotland is still quite cold, I didn't feel it when I turned on the heating in the room to the maximum. In the morning, a traditional English breakfast on the first floor of the hotel is absolutely amazing. There is a western restaurant with candlelight dinner next to the hotel, where you can enjoy a sweet world for two! 😍😍

GGuest UserAbsolutely fantastic hotel. I've been going to Edinburgh for well over 30 years and stayed on this occasion for my 50th. I could not have picked a nicer place. Friendly family ran hotel, nothing too much trouble. Our room was just perfect. Huge room a very comfy bed and modern bathroom. The location is perfect, being right by Haymarket Train Station and the tram system. Believe me, I've stayed right in the centre and down Leith end but this location is perfect, close to the main centre but quiet enough of a night. Keep up the fabulous work, I'll be back.
CCassenya PreeceOur stay at the Hub was delightful! We arrived Christmas morning and were offered a very early check in and breakfast which was extremely appreciated. The place is in a great location, we were able to walk everywhere and it was very clean. Small space but it was all we needed for a few nights. Would happily stay again. Thank you!!
MMahmoud Al ErakyVery nice and clean hotel. Spacious room with very high ceiling which was very nice. Lovely view from outside the (massive) window in the room. Lovely staff. Good breakfast. Room was well equipped with an iron, kettle, hair dryer, and a fan. The only thing is that there is no air con but for now the fan did its job which made the room temp good. Overall very good hotel, would come back.
BBeccaaaaaLFrom the airport I took the Airlink 100 and drop off at Shandwick Place, then took a short walk for about 0.6 miles to reach the hostel at West Port. You could get a view of the Edinburgh castle right across the hostel. There are cafes, diners and bars just across the road. Victoria street is 5 mins walk away. Everything else is just nearby.
I was abit skeptical to book the mixed dorm at first but it was relatively safe in overall. Specifically requested for a lower bunk bed due to my leg injury & I was assigned exactly the way I wanted. The room is spacious however it has a funny smell though, probably because it was occupied with 12 people. I was given the room on level 1, near to the kitchen & chill-out room. Mixed bathroom was kinda clean but the yellow shower cubicle's shower was broken. I had to keep pressing the button for the water to run.
Everything was great nonetheless. Staffs were friendly. Locker room service was out of my expectation to be frank. I'd recommend friends to stay however preferably ask them to book a private room for personal best interest, and to get good sleep without the ”symphony of snoring”.

GGuest UserThe room was much better than expected, clean and comfortable. Self-service check-in and check-out were quick and convenient. If you don't know how to use it, you can call and ask for patient guidance. If you don't know how to use the access control, you can ask the staff. The location is far from the city center and various attractions, about 30 minutes walk, but you can take the bus.
In summary, it is still a good choice. After all, hotels in Edinburgh are crazy expensive. I will stay in this hotel again.
JJoy LynRoom was brilliant.✨ Had a very comfortable sleep and rest everytime we go back to our cozy space. Location was slightly far from the centre (approx 36mins) but still managed to walk because of edinburgh's outstanding architectures, we barely noticed the distance we travelled. Receptionist was very nice as well. Wil recommend! ✨
GGuest UserLovely place for a last minute booking - must have got the last room as it was tiny! Not suitable for longer than a night or two or just somewhere to lay your head but very comfortable and clean! Would note the check in time being 3pm - hadn’t been able to change it at all
GGuest UserArrived at property same time as another guest and he phoned owner who gave us code to get in and let us know we’re to get keys for room. Room was lovely with tea and coffee facilities and comfy bed. Bathroom sink was blocked. Overall nice accommodation and close to bus stop for town.
