"The location is very convenient. Take the airlink100 to the main station (waverly train station) when you get out of the airport and take a little more road to get there. It's just that the nearest road is a lot of stairs. It's too difficult to carry luggage.
The service is very good. There are microwave ovens and cutlery in the room. The food bought in the supermarket is too convenient to eat! Great!
Toiletries are used by L'Occitane, so they are safe to use.
Room size is average. The wind was very strong outside and the room was warm. awesome"
"Hotel breakfast is general, the location is remote, it is not convenient to find. However, the surrounding environment is beautiful and comfortable, the front desk service is very kind, the room is quite large, the hotel building itself is very old, it is somewhat old."
"I stayed at the Adelphi Hotel on a recent trip to Edinburgh. It's definitely a budget-friendly option, which was perfect for me. The room itself was clean and functional. The bed was comfy, there was a flat-screen TV to unwind with, and the shower had great pressure with plenty of hot water.
Heads up, there's no breakfast offered at the hotel. I grabbed food at a nearby cafe each morning, which wasn't a problem, but be sure to factor that extra cost into your budget.
The room was a little on the small side, and I heard some noise from outside at times. It's not a fancy hotel, and there aren't any amenities beyond free Wi-Fi.
The location, however, was fantastic. It's just a short walk from the tram stop, and most of Edinburgh's attractions were within a 10-15 minute drive. There's even free parking on-site, which is a major plus in the city.
Overall, the Adelphi Hotel was a decent choice for my short stay. It's perfect if you're on a budget and don't mind a basic room without frills. Just be prepared to find breakfast elsewhere and manage your expectations."

"The traditional English breakfast is very substantial, the taste is OK, the service is welcoming, the room is small and there is no extra bed, but the bed is quite large, three people can barely sleep, the bathroom is clean, the place is not particularly easy to find, the front desk is half basement one. Overall feels good 👍"
"The hotel is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh and has a beautiful surroundings. Take bus 44 (Balerno direction) from the Waverley train station in Edinburgh. Get off at Newmills Road station in about 40 minutes and walk about 200 meters forward. You can see the hotel logo name on the right side of the road.
The hotel is run by a couple. There are two villas with three rooms each. We booked a suite, a double room, a single room, and a sofa in the double room, suitable for parents and children.
The bedding in the room is brand new and clean, only the bath towels are slightly old, and the sink is small and short, which is inconvenient to use.
The hotel was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast, very exquisite, super standard many professional restaurants, do not want to miss.
The host is very hospitable, during the period, help to book restaurants, arrange taxis, provide travel advice, etc."
"I was a little concerned that the bathroom was a little dirty, but the bedding and other amenities were very clean.
The stairs are a little steep, so it may be a little difficult if you have a large suitcase.
However, it is excellent value for money and is close to a tram stop, so I highly recommend it."
"The hotel is located in the West End area, which is the consulate area. There are several nice hotels in the area, all with very similar buildings, and the B&B is one of them that is very cozy. The reception staff were very welcoming and attentive. The room was not too big or too small, with beautiful lattice windows. There is a small library in the hotel (pictures 2 and 3), which is elegantly decorated, quiet and comfortable. There are many restaurants to choose from within 500 meters. The hotel's breakfast area is not big, but very cozy. The B&B is not far from the Licorice Market Railway Station (Figure 1), and there are bus and long-distance bus stations nearby, so the transportation is convenient. Suitable for parents and children, business trips, especially for sightseeing guests. recommend!"
"A treasure hotel worth staying in when traveling to Edinburgh! Located on a campus of the University of Edinburgh, at the foot of Arthur's Seat, the environment is elegant and quiet. The building itself is an ancient castle with a classical exterior and modern interior (with a lot of decorative paintings); there is a bus stop at the door, which is very convenient to Waverley Station, and it is not far to walk to the old town through the University of Edinburgh area
The room bedroom is not spacious, but two large suitcases can be placed for two people. The bathroom is very spacious and bright. Bathrobes, cloth slippers, makeup mirrors, and makeup removal mirrors are provided, which is a surprise
The breakfast room is very beautiful, the meals are rich and delicious, if you can eat, you can even order one of each, and there is a tea room where you can drink coffee and lemonade at any time, and provide fruits and shortbread
The service staff is friendly and thoughtful, and the business handling efficiency is also high
A very perfect stay experience, worth recording~

"Great location, just around the corner from the Royal Mile, and hop on hop off buses. We had a rental car and used the parking lot behind which is a bit of a walk with luggage for disabled persons, as no direct entry to hotel from the rear.
Breakfast is extra but was worth the £11.99 for us as we tend to snack during the day."

GGuest UserFantastic location and very helpful and friendly staff. Room exceeded expectations with great views. Was a bit noisy at times but to be expected and did not detract from our stay. More places to sit / wait around reception would be helpful as we were unsure if we could use the restaurant / breakfast area but this was our only issue. Helpful and efficient breakfast service which we enjoyed. Thank you!

YYunduanderizi21A very traditional, elegant, ancient and solemn hotel, the overall feeling is very good!
The location is very convenient. After exiting the Waverley train station, you can reach the hotel in less than 5 minutes on foot. The entrance is very eye-catching. It's just a big uphill walk, and it will be a bit strenuous if you push a large piece of luggage. It only takes 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to the castle.
The hotel lobby is very traditional, and the characteristic bonfire hall seems to have entered Santa Claus's home. The lady at the front desk is very enthusiastic and introduced the various facilities in the room in detail. Because Scotland is still quite cold, I didn't feel it when I turned on the heating in the room to the maximum. In the morning, a traditional English breakfast on the first floor of the hotel is absolutely amazing. There is a western restaurant with candlelight dinner next to the hotel, where you can enjoy a sweet world for two! 😍😍

LLUE SHANAbit small but great for the location, able to walk to tourist attractions easily.
Only concern was that my pyjamas was missing after the house cleaning, they misplaced my pants and I was unable to get it back. There was no compensation or anything done for it. The receptionist just told us sorry that they can't find it in their laundry pile.
GGuest UserI do appreciate MONIKA’s service. She was very helpful and supportive. Very nice to communicate and the environment was great. The room was fantastic view and quite clean as well. I am looking forward to check in in the future.

FffjeaneeThe room was very spacious, and we had no problem opening our four suitcases. The location is excellent, right on a prime street. Unlike the Hilton in York, which only had electric fans, this hotel actually has air conditioning – a big plus! The only major issue was the price. We booked in May for over 3700, but now, just a few days later, the rate is only between 1600-2200. Since our booking was non-refundable, the price difference felt absolutely ridiculous, and we ended up feeling totally ripped off. I highly recommend always choosing a cancellable option when booking, so you can rebook if the price drops.

DDKencoGood hotel all round. Good location, especially for a day at the zoo or to watch Scotland play rugby. It is easy to get to the city centre too.
The room we had was big and clean. Bed was comfortable and there was a big telly.
Didn’t get a chance to use it but there is a pool.
GGuest UserAll very good, clean, quiet, good location, kitchen facilities are complete but the plates are small and there are no bowls. It is recommended to add some bowls for the convenience of Chinese people, and it would be better to have a rice cooker.

EEsraThe building was good and the view was great; it was the best part of staying this hotel. Unfortunately room service was so bad. We stayed there 4nights; first we thought maybe they just hovered the room because the room wasn’t cleaned. Next day it was same so I told it to reception and then finally next day they cleaned it.. but again it wasn’t a full cleaning (they didn’t hover or clean the dust; just tidy the room and clean bathroom) So I can say room cleaning service is a disaster. But I also want to add reception stuff were helpful and friendly. Last thing hotel needs a quick make up; especially bathrooms are very old.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the train station. You need to go up and down stairs or steep slopes to drag your suitcase. There are many core attractions near the hotel. It is also located near a very prosperous commercial street. There is a large bar directly opposite the hotel, which will be busy until 4 in the morning. Friends who need quiet time should choose it with caution. The breakfast is not bad. Overall, it is great!

Eeman2122I believe there are short staff... Check in and check out time is really Short (stay over in the room) You can check in after 3pm and check out before 11am.. room smelly maybe from the carpet. Toilet slightly dirty. Breakfast needs to add additional cost if you want or you can take their packages. Whatever it is, this is your call and you choose it. Don't compare too much. I hope management will do something for a better guest experience. Keep it up.
