"I was quite satisfied with my stay. Although the hotel entrance is small, the room was surprisingly spacious. It even had some basic kitchen facilities, which was handy for simple cooking. My only minor gripe is that one of the room doors wouldn't stay open on its own and needed to be propped – hopefully, this can be improved. We booked a twin room, and it turned out to be two separate rooms, which was excellent for privacy and quiet sleep. It could actually accommodate four people. The only slight drawback was that parking required using a public car park located below the castle, about a 10-15 minute walk away."

"For a Holiday Inn in the UK, the room was quite spacious. The hotel offers free parking and is conveniently located with multiple bus routes to the city center right outside. Getting to the city center is super convenient, especially when buying a family ticket. Being situated next to the zoo, it's also very quiet at night."

"Super convenient, close to Waverley station. Walking distance to everywhere. The hotel has a coffee machine which serve the best hot chocolate and coffee 😍 I love their croissant which they bake freshly every morning 🥰 Most importantly, the room is very spacious and staffs are friendly ❤️"

"The room had comfortable beds and was quite spacious. The air conditioning worked well, and thoughtful touches like earplugs and eye masks were provided. Its location couldn't be better: right in the heart of the Old Town's Royal Mile, immediately beside St Giles' Cathedral and the statue of Adam Smith. The ground floor houses a bar, which is very handy for a quick beer or whiskey. You also check in here. Upon arrival, you're given a 5-digit access code (mine was 78275) that opens all doors. Each bunk bed has a corresponding numbered locker (they're quite spacious), which you secure by entering a 4-digit PIN twice."

"This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time was in the winter of 2018. The decoration and furniture of the hotel have been upgraded compared to last time. It is clean and tidy and still makes me feel as comfortable as ever."

"This is a wonderful serviced apartment in Edinburgh. The living room features a fold-out sofa bed, allowing it to comfortably sleep four people. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there's a supermarket conveniently located nearby, making it easy to buy groceries and prepare delicious meals. The area is very quiet, and Edinburgh Castle is just a 20-minute walk away."

"A taxi from Princes Street cost £8.95. The location was a bit out of the way; even the closest dining options like Burger King and Nando's were at least an 8-minute walk. The air conditioning in the room was broken, and the front desk mentioned that all units on the first floor were out of order. However, the window could only open a tiny crack, and I felt quite warm under the duvet. The next day's breakfast was the most basic I've ever had in a 3- or 4-star hotel, with only apples and oranges available for fruit."

"The hotel is perfectly situated near the theatre making it easy to access on foot. My room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, empathetic and understanding as ended up being a solo guest due to unforeseen circumstances and going out of their way to accommodate needs . Food was lovely and staff so attentive . I would recommend and will go back"

"Location in walkable distance from Royal Mile and very close to Arthur's seat trails (think fresh air and stunning 360 views over Edinburgh and surrounding area).The staff were just so incredibly welcoming, friendly and accommodating, wanting to make the stay a fantastic one.Clean.Good smell and great ambient music in public areas. Mattresses and pillows were super comfy.Aesthetic, relaxing and provocative artwork. Loved their sustainability plan. I had not realised before arrival that the stay includes complementary access to a full blown gym and fitness centre, albeit down the road.Brilliant! Loved the small but good food choices available and the delivery was true to their photos, brasserie area or otherwise;no tray charge if you want to stay in the room! Will be coming back for sure, thank you, The. Scholar! (Tried both Single, and also Deluxe Double(King bed).Both great and king adds extra if twosome!"
