A lovely premier inn, clean and tidy, really friendly staff and a perfect location for our weekend in Edinburgh! Also attached to a wonderful Greene King , the Cuddie Brae, which was much more affordable than pubs closer to the city centre despite being very close!

This is one of our favourite Premier Inns! The staff are fabulous, the rooms are clean, the beds super comfy and now they have a Breakfast room inside the hotel with an awesome serve yourself buffet as well as a cook ready to pamper to your specific wants.

I booked a room at the above Premier Inn on 18/9/24 for one night. Having stayed at Premier Inn on many occasions I was expecting it to be of the usual acceptable standard. The room charge was £174 for one night. However on this occasion I was extremely disappointed. On arrival we were allocated room 11 on the ground floor. We found the room to be very dark, dreary and musty. The only window in the room looked directly on to a brick wall with no natural light. The room condition was very dilapidated. We reported our dissatisfaction to the receptionist who agreed it was not a nice room and she reallocated us to room 105 on the first floor which was the only room available. Unfortunately this room was also very tired, musty, with damaged and stained furnishings. The hand soap dispenser did not work and was seized up with rust and congealed soap. Paint was peeling from water damaged skirting in the bathroom. The bathroom door had a film of dust on it. Two of the table/bedside lights did not work. The switch on the table lamp was missing leaving a hole in the base through which the wiring was visible. The headboard on the bed had two old greasy head marks on it presumably from previous occupants. All the walls were marked, stained and in need of freshening up. The entire room could only be described as grubby. As a result we were not comfortable in the room and did not sleep well as a result. On checking out the following morning there appeared to be no receptionist on the desk so we deposited our key cards in the box and left. I subsequently submitted a feedback/good night guarantee complaint form to Premier Inn twice but got no reply. So much for all the TV Ad hype and customer service!!

We had two rooms. One was at the front of the hotel and one at the back. The ones at the back have a train tack running along it.. some hurtle passed and are very noisy. Our bathroom needed some attention around the skirting boards and the toilet. but the sanitary ware and tiles were kept very clean. The kitchen overs werent open whilst we were there but this wasnt a problem as we were able to eat at the pub next door. The best thing about this Premier Inn is the location. Whilst the train tracks brought noise issues it also mean that it was only a 5 minute walk to the station and a 7 minute journey into the city.

I recently stayed at the Premier Inn Edinburgh NewCraig Hall, and I had a very good experience overall. The hotel’s location is excellent, making it convenient to explore the city. I also enjoyed the pub next door, which offered a superb selection of drinks and delicious food. A special mention goes to the lady at reception (sorry I forgot your name). After I accidentally left some aftershave at the hotel, she went above and beyond to organize its shipment back to me—truly exceptional service. I also want to highlight the ladies at breakfast, who are a true credit to Premier Inn. Their genuine warmth and welcoming personalities made each morning feel special. It’s the kind of hospitality that goes a long way in enhancing a guest’s experience. All in all, a great stay at a reliable Premier Inn. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh!

The Premier Inn at Newcraighall is always my go-to spot for bringing people to Edinburgh. The bus stop is a 2-minute walk away, then it's a £2, 25 minute ride to the city center. Very convenient. Its' clean and comfortable, and there is a Cuddie Brae restaurant next to it.

Very nice stay at Newcraighall. Ideal, as train station 2 minutes walk from Premier Inn and train took just 10 minutes to get into Edinburgh (Waverley). And a local shopping outlet 5 minutes walk the other way from Premier Inn. Great location. The staff, room and breakfast were also excellent and we had a great meal in the adjoining pub, The Cuddie Brae - all in all a super few days away!!

Paid £103 per night not including breakfast which I thought was enough for the poor room. The bathroom floor was spongy brown flooring we thought we were going to fall it at the sink. There were no cushions or a runner on the bed. The pub next door had good food which is nothing to do with the Premier Inn, the breakfast in the premier inn was good. We stayed in 4 Premier inn’s on this trip and found they were all poor.
