100 Princes Street

This was one of my favorite hotel stays to date! My room was small, but was gorgeous and had everything I needed. The service was very personal and above and beyond. The breakfast was wonderful, and property is absolutely beautiful. I will return to this hotel the next time I am in Edinburgh, and will also seek out other Red Carnation Hotel properties.

Spent two nights here the end of Aug 2025. From the beginning of our stay to the end we were extremely pleased. The staff were extremely professional and catered to our every need. The hotel is located right near all attractions. Our room was so clean and comfy. The hotel is extremely secure (only residents are allowed to enter). The food here was great also. If you have an opportunity to visit here I would highly recommend it.

There are not enough adjectives to describe our stay at 100 Princes Street!!! From the moment we checked in until the time we left, we were given the utmost care and attention! The room with the castle view was fabulous and breakfast each morning was a treat!

My 1st stay in this truly exceptional hotel and I am already thinking about how soon I can return. Where to start? The hotel is exquisitely beautiful with every single piece of furniture, decor, pictures, etc so carefully thought through. There is a Scottish theme which is perfect - overall the hotel reminds me of ‘Scottish / Victorian grandeur’ but with all possible modern comforts. My room was a front facing suite looking out onto the castle. The level of comfort and the technology in the room is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before now. The team under the leadership of Michael are just wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. They have a vast knowledge of Edinburgh and were so kind and helpful before my visit ensuring that I saw so much of this beautiful city in my 4 days. 100 Princes Street is ideally situated for visits to Edinburgh Castle, The National Portrait Gallery, Holyrood Palace. I walked to them all. The Wallace lounge bar has an exceptional food offering. Edinburgh is definitely a city for foodies but I was really happy to stay in the hotel every night and eat from the menu in Wallace Thank you all

I cannot recommend the 100 Princes enough. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning and every detail is pristine. But what really sets the hotel apart is the service. The staff is lovely and friendly, and goes above and beyond in every possible way. We felt like royalty. A truly special experience.

My husband and I had a wonderful 4-day visit to Edinburgh in July. Our visit was made even more special and memorable thanks to the amazing accommodations and gracious staff at 100 Princes Street. At check in we were very pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to Archibald Suite. What an amazing room! The views of Edinburgh Castle are breathtaking. For our first evening, we had dinner at the hotel. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. During the week, we took advantage of the whiskey tasting offerings the hotel provides. We had a great time learning about whiskey and the varieties we tried really afforded us an opportunity to gain an understanding of the diversity of styles for this staple beverage of Scotland. Sometimes when you see a hotel online, you can be disappointed when you actually arrive and experience the place. 100 Princes Street was so much better than the pictures can even relay. My husband and I had a wonderful time and we will most certainly return.
