Brae House was a perfect location if you want to stay close to the Royal Mile. It’s a typical dorm room so don’t expect much more. Ask for a towel at the front desk. You’re welcome d to use the shared kitchen. That was a huge plus.

Value for the price you pay. They got nothing except for the bed but you got your private bathroom.

The hotel is about 15-20 minutes from the city. Fine if you don’t mind walking. You’ll also have to be able to handle pretty dirty conditions, sticky floors, dusty surfaces and no towels or soap are provided; even during a pandemic. It’s not terrible and I know it’s a cheap room and you get what you pay for but i’ve stayed in better, even at that price.

Double bed with separate bathroom, but the bed feels a little small, just right for two girls; the only inconvenience in the room is that there is no chair provided. The hotel is next to the railway track, it may be a bit noisy at night! In addition, there is a shared kitchen where you can boil water and drink! Overall, it's a nice hostel.

This is very close to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and the rooms are very clean. It is a good youth hostel, very suitable for friends traveling to Scotland to stay together, and it is highly recommended.
