The worst experience that I have ever had. First of all, when we arrived on the first day on 24 September, the night shift staff was very rude and unhelpful. We were not welcomed by any of the staff and had to use self check in service. After 10 minutes. We noticed the self check in machine was not working and had to go back to the concierge/reception to do the check in process. We were only been told that the self check in machine was experiencing technical issues, despite we were standing there and were trying to use the machine for a while. Apart from this, my family had tried to get hold of one of the male staff, he was very rude and disrespectful. We had been told that he was busy and did not even bother to show any patience or ask us to hold and wait.
After we entered into the our room on the 6th floor which is a VIP en-suite room, we noticed that there were some issues. There were two spotlights were out of services and the switch of the blinds were not working. The male staff on the front desk were absolutely terrible with no hospitality manner. He even very impolite and did not even want to listen to our requests. Even we had been told that they would send a handy man to fix the problem, this had not been done so.
Overall, we had been very disappointed and had been ruined by this awful experience of our entire trip and the impression of Edinburgh.
We will definitely would not recommend anyone to come to this hotel.
