Good central location and generally quiet apart from regular bottle bin emptying late night and early morning. With windows of the building across the road no more than a few feet away (single lane road width) I kept my curtains closed so it felt a bit claustrophobic. The room and bathroom is basic, which is what I expected but £325 for two nights in a Travelodge (Friday and Saturday at the end of May) is expensive and I wouldn’t do it again. I would rather spend a bit more for somewhere with some soul/character. If I had paid half that amount, I would have felt that more appropriate. No doubt the Robbie Williams concert that Saturday put the prices up and I wasn’t able to be flexible as I was up for my son’s degree show. Like others I had problems with my keycard but reception was helpful.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! One of the worst hotel experiences in our lives. Not only did “savings with early booking” cost us TRIPLE what the walk-rate was, but the VERY LOUD nightclub next door kept us up most of the night, and the drunks outside and early morning fire alarms set off by steam showers did the rest. Reception “knew nothing about rates” (?!), corporate punted to fine print allowing to do anything. Then they asked for extra payment to use wifi and the shower knob fell off. We will never stay at Travelodge again.

Really good location but there is no house keeping if you don't ask for it for 5-6 days. I was surprised in a bad way when we asked for clean towels and pillow cases (they dont change sheets before 6 days) and we found them on the bed which was on a mess because no-one made it an I had to fit the pillow cases myself while they had left the dirty towels on the floor! Fortunately they took the garbage!

I had a pleasant stay at Travelodge Rose Street. Joan was welcoming and accommodating, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. We had some issues with our keycards during our stay, but Joan sorted them out quickly and professionally. The hotel is in a great location—quiet yet very accessible to most attractions, shops, and restaurants in the area. The room was clean and comfortable, offering good value for the price. It is ideal for both short and longer stays. I would consider staying here again.

Great location, great clean sized bedroom & bathroom, thou the tv is the smallest tv ever for the size of the room I struggled to see it. Only downside is there is nowhere to store luggage, we arrived 2 hours before our 3pm check in as we had an event, nowhere to leave our small bag & as we hadn’t booked an early check in despite our room being ready we had to pay £15 to go in sooner. This & the cost of parking makes this hotel to expensive for what you get.

Clean and friendly. Good central location. I didn’t take the breakfast option but there was a wide range of eating places nearby.

Hotel is well situated on Rose Street, near bars, eateries and high street shops. Room was clean. Reception staff friendly. During our stay we heard very little noise inside hotel and only slight bar noise at night and our room overlooked Rose Street. We were on the 4th floor and there is 1 lift. Smallish hotel with about 40 rooms. Only downside is there is no left luggage facility or restaurant. Breakfast if you want it is a convenience pack. Plenty of places nearby for food.

The bed was pissed on at the top near my face and the carpet looked so dirty that I was afraid to walk on it barefoot

Handy, central location for anyone visiting Edinburgh, although the hotel is in a pedestrianised street and therefore a bit of a faff for those arriving by car or taxi. Car park advised by Travelodge was almost half a mile away, but it was secure, clean and well maintained and with the hotel's discount proved a very acceptable option.
