Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood

Edinburgh Old Town
So as any hotel stay is half bed and half breakfast I could not score this stay any higher than an average as I only enjoyed a part of it. On the positive side, the room is of a good size and the bed is comfortable. There is tea/instant coffee and kettle available. The room is on the warm side, and as the window is tied to prevent you opening too much, it closes during the night, however you can get a reasonable night sleep. My only suggestion for the housekeeping staff is to ensure the shower gel is topped up - since the bottle is tacked to the wall. The breakfast on the other hand is awful. The quality of the cooked breakfast ingredients is very low. The coffee was disgusting. The yoghurts all fruit (high in sugar) no natural yoghurt on offer. So my recommendation would be to book the room without breakfast if you can, and head out for breakfast. I was certainly on the hunt for decent coffee straight after breakfast.
Residence Inn by Marriott Edinburgh

Three people stay in one room, and the sofa bed can be turned into a single bed. It is a 12-minute walk from Edinburgh Castle, the church, the royal mile, and the library, and there are shops along the way. The hotel breakfast is a standard British breakfast, with sausages, eggs, ham, bread, cheese, cereal and fruit. The hotel also provides free self-service washing machines and dryers, but you need to queue up to use them. The room has a microwave and dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a safe. There is a Malaysian restaurant next door. I highly recommend this hotel.
Malmaison Edinburgh

This hotel is historic and grand, I highly recommend it. Was once the Harbor Master's house for the port of Leith and it truly holds all of the charm of a historic building, but with many cool upgrades! The area is really charming, just off the water and a fairly quick bus ride to all the downtown sites. Every single member of the staff from the restaurant, to housekeeping to the front desk really went out of their way to be kind, helpful and attentive. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and they truly made my visit to Edinburgh all the more. I highly recommend The Malmaison. Thank you so very much for an excellent stay.

Great location. Sadly there were construction outside the hotel that effected the noise level inside the hotel. If you leave the hotel early in the morning and don’t want to sleep in, it’s okay.

The appearance of the hotel is very beautiful, the interior decoration is warm and elegant, the facilities are complete, clean and sanitary, and the service is enthusiastic. It is a great experience and I will stay here again if I have the opportunity.
Aparthotel Adagio Edinburgh Royal Mile

Before check in this hotel, I was little concerned about it since there’s couple negative comment about this hotel. I believed only some room has issue but my room is perfectly fine! The water temperature is great and no other issue. The breakfast is very good, suggest you going down to the breakfast area around 7 if you want to get hot food and quiet breakfast time~ On the other hand, it’s an apartment, so you need to throw your rubbish away, and better to bring personal cleaning equipment as well. It’s a 9/10 rating, it would be great if they fix another washing machine so don’t need to wait for it.
