The check-in process was efficient and the hotel staff was friendly and VERY HELPFUL. Where it all went wrong was with the room service.
1. There is a room service schedule that patrons are to read somewhere near the check-in counter. We were not told to read it and we arrived right before midnight and were very tired.
2. We checked in on a Sat. Our room was not serviced since we arrived and today is Tuesday.
3. We left the room on Monday at 11:30a and came back at 3p and our room was not serviced. When we left we were told that our room would be serviced.
4. Today, I was asked if I took my trash out and I was a bit surprised. I have never been asked that when staying at a RI Marriott. And then RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, the hotel staff called someone and sternly said, "Don't tell the people that we will take the trash and used towels out of their room if their room is not scheduled for service!"
5. My wife called the hotel when we left to get clarification and was told that we were supposed to read the Room Service Schedule when we arrived. (We arrived close to midnight and were not informed about the Room Service Schedule.) My wife then asked to speak to a manager and the hotel staff told her she would transfer her to Marjorie. Marjorie did not pick up and no one has addressed our concern, nor has our room been serviced since we arrived.
We will travel back to MN for the same reason why we are here this time. We are saddened by the lack of service and respect.
