Seahorse Inn Hotel & Villas

The setting was beautiful, sunrise on the beach breathtaking. Villa #9 average. An ironing board but no iron. Not a single box of tissues anywhere. No salt or pepper in the kitchen. A closet devoid of hangers. Spent $249.00 for one night and neither of the 2 bathrooms had a hair dryer. The Seahorse Inn boldly promotes “luxury” but failed to deliver on the simple basics. Restaurant food was fine albeit expensive $82 for a bowl of soup and a plate of pasta. The ‘new’ renovations are fine but regrettably the heritage/character of the original building was covered with multiple coats off-white paint. My partner and I were here pre-Covid and we were so looking forward to this visit… but sadly now there’s no need for us to return
Twofold Bay Motor Inn

Room was large with 2 double beds, nice bathroom and a useful entry foyer. Was really quite nice. A small group of us arrived on motorcycles on a cool very wet day. We were met with a nice undercover level driveway to stop and proceed to checkin. Checkin seemed overly slow, with the clerk doing a lot of computer work before presenting me with the checkin document to sign. Of course this was accentuated to me as I was dripping wet and cold. I couldnt park anywhere near my room and the whole parking area slopes quite steeply. This meant that it was very difficult to park the bike in a stable place. The only near level area that I could see was in front of a storage shed, but cars were parked in front of it. The airconditioner in the room was located in the entryway, rather than the room, which seemed very odd. So it was not possible to operate for quick temperature adjustment. The most notable deficiency however was the shower which ran out of hot water within a few minutes. It seems that this motel uses a shared hot water service so late arrivers get cold showers.
Eden Motel

A very simple motel, the unit is underground, the car is shooting at the door, the location is windy, there is noise when the door is blowing, and the door is not anal, which feels unsafe. The price is reasonable and the surrounding environment is quiet.
Coachman's Eden

First solo interstate drive, last minute decision to stay overnight in Eden. Management accommodated me and helpfully provided me with everything I needed including wifi password upon check in. The motel is located a couple of minutes drive from Eden’s town centre within easy reach of eateries, supermarket and places of interest. Room was beautifully presented with modern furnishings and decor, very clean. Big comfy bed, perfectly made with fresh crisp linen and quality bath towels. Confession: I’m a hotel housekeeper :) Room was safe and secure for a solo female traveller and also included a small kitchenette with microwave, fridge and coffee making ammenities. Great comfortable night’s sleep which refreshed me before the next leg of the journey. Have recommended you already to friends who travel through and stay in Eden regularly. Thanks for having me.
Halfway Motel

I have read some of the reviews above (post stay), there is an element of truth to them. The rooms are small and they could benefit from some attention. For us we just needed a place to sleep and shower, and it served this purpose well. The room was quiet, dry and clean. The staff were very accomodating when we wanted to stay an extra day. The price was competitive compared with others in the area. Please note our TV was new and large.
